Loads probably - not a lot of love for him sometimes from people

Its Cheds fault his evidence is being heard today so lets blame him ! Oh and Mceveley it has to be his fault and Howard should have easily saved that deflection !!!!

Billy , missed 2 out of 3 penalties Sharp , could have won

lets see how many are as quick to blame him

In fairness, there's never much sympathy for those that miss penalties because really they shouldn't be missing them – particularly a player that's billed as a big goalscorer and of a higher quality than those in this division. Crapper players have been able to consistently deliver from the spot – pinpoint Ports for one.

(But clearly he's not solely responsible for the result)

He's finished. But will still end up top scorer in a squad that will leave us in League one for another season

I'd be more concerned about conceding 6 goals in 2 home games to the world-beaters of Colchester and Bury.

It's not rocket science to workout why the defence is shite at the moment. Half of our first choice back 4 are not even fit and if we got someone like Burn in then Collins would be out.

I was a bit surprised when I heard he was stepping up to take the third penalty as well. My immediate thought was that Baxter should have had a go.

Thought Sharp put in a good shift second half - made Woolfords goal, but missed a penalty and a couple of chances which I'dve thought were odds on for him to tuck away.

That said if we're scapegoating Baxter didn't do himself many favours for those in the 'he's a fat talentless pilly scouse' camp

I thought Colchester did what Chezzy did and played in our half, easily. We were reduced to trying hopeful breaks. If they hadn't dropped off they could have have had a hat full.

We got some tempo back second half but it was all a bit huff and puff. Basham got in to it more as the game wore on but if we persist with him and Baxter (in particular) in a midfield two we will see the same thing happen.

We don't have the players but I'd like a 3-5-2 line up.

We were poor but credit to them, they could have scored a lot more. I thought they played well and had some good energy. . . And yes I know the mighty blades shouldn't be losing at home to Colchester but I genuinely think they contributed to a good game for the neutral if not us.

Scapegoat should be the man whose not sorted the defense.

Eh Mr Adkins?
Just out of interest, before Saturday when we'd conceded one goal in four games, and had a blip(what it looked like before saturday) against gillingham, would you honestly say the defence was in desperate need of strengthening immediately? And since bury he's had two days to sort something, which is really hardly enough time is it? obviously now everyone including Adkins im sure will be looking at the defence, but surely its harsh to blame him using hindsight when up untill saturday many thought he had sorted the defence for now bringing in edgar?

We needed three centre backs before Adkins was appointed and I've constantly pointed that out to the point of becoming a bore.

Not a reaction to Saturday at all.

We've got half a back four at best.

Six goals in two home games would prove I'm right.

Tonight's scapegoats are
Edgar
Collins
McEvely
Baxter
Basham
Woolford
Sharpe
Sammons

JCR, Howard and Freeman did ok
