Couple more signings and we could have blown the league away. Still, with how large our squad is, so long as we aren't making all the changes at the same time we can deal with injuries throughout the squad better than anyone else in the league. Just as we are currently doing with Brayford and Done. There's always January to capitalise (with the Murphy money) on a hopefully strong first half to the season and finally get out of the league with a title.

They will have pissed it away by January and we probably won't be second. Reminds me of our last season in the Premiership: saved ourselves 5 bob and cost us £200 million.

Permanent deals. We'll still need one in twelve months when he returns from his loan. Failing to address the biggest need we've had is simply unacceptable and no amount patching over it with loan deals and gaffer tape will make it go away.

Well there are three parties involved and we've had a good window. We tried to get some deals over the line and we've got a top, top manager... According to Jim at least.

Clearly we do need more in central midfield and central defence but it doesn't sound like it was for the want of trying, lot of clubs failed to get their targets today.

It's a shit system all round, the amount of money involved is obscene, deadline ending 3 weeks into the season and on a night we have a game in the stupid piss pot trophy is all crazy. Oh shit I've now gone from cup half full to cup half empty in one post
