Audioboom link for Adkin's post match interview with Buchan.

On Baxter "Jose hasn't had the chance to say anything, he just had to listen. He's been doing really well but it's a stupid challenge and he's got to learn very quickly, the consequences of that challenge are very high".

Not so much bothered about Freeman, thinks it was more unlucky.

Flynn and Kennedy played for the u21's last night.

Baxter and Freeman probably would have featured against Swindon so back to the drawing board on that.

Long will play again in the JPT as Adkins wants him to get the games. Looks like he will play a similar sort of line up in that as well as he wants fringe players to get games.

So it's McFadzean or McEvely that has to go up against Nathan Byrne on Saturday? Jesus Christ...

Would hate to be Jose, Adkins I bet is one of those men who's nice in public but behind the scenes he'll goes hard...
All successful managers in any profession have to have a hard streak to succeed.
Do not be surprised if Baxter is moved on at the first suitable opportunity as red carded players can cost a side promotion.
Adkins is no fool and he and his coaching staff will now be aware of who needs shipping out starting with Higdon.
Unbelievable how much under achieving players Clough gathered.

I don't see why Wallace gets off so lightly. It wasn't as bad a tackle as Baxter's but arguably it was the clearer red card. Given the circumstances it was just as stupid a challenge to make and the consequences for Saturday are no less serious.

I find it depressing we are seriously considering playing Alcock in the league. The guy's not good enough and we haven't won for about 9 months when he's played more than 30mins. He threw the game away yesterday with a stupid and obvious foul. We will not get anything on Sat unless we sign a new left back.

Probably because Wallace is a young kid just making his way in the game and Baxter is experienced enough to know better and has history!

Also the suspensions, Wallace 1 game, Baxter 3

...or you could put McEveley at LB...
