I'm also in the camp of "would have wearily given Clough one more season, but now cautiously optimistic and happier to be playing more positively under Adkins".

I too would have given Clough this season, however now he's gone it's apparent what an unrelenting bell-end he was.

I voted "Getting There. Happy with Clough, happier with Nige Jnr" But I suppose a more accurate description is that I thought we should persevere with Clough despite his failings unless we could attract someone with a perfectly suited CV having taken similar clubs from League 1 to the Prem. i.e. Adkins or Lambert. My feelings remain the same. I've been a little disappointed wiht our recruitment so far (basically how long it's taken to address the centre half issue) but I remain optimistic with this manager.

Pleased so far however, but still a distance from being giddy about how we're going to do. Some pitfalls are still there to be seen from last season, one being the lack of natural centre halves.

Glad we have come back from a tonking again Gillingham with (so far) a small run of good form, showing heads arent going to drop too easily. I'll be intrigued to see the reaction of the team further into the season when we lose, how we attempt to bounce back / change styles game to game. This could be Adkins biggest use of his positive attitude, making sure the hangover from a loss isn't taken into the next game, something I thought we did often under Clough.

Anyway my first game tomorrow due to being on holiday and I cannot wait

Mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned, thanks Grecian. I think it's fair to say Adkins can be happy with his first 2 months or so in his new job. Still a bit to do this transfer window though.
