“We have been overrun in midfield last two saturdays”

So have we. Apparently it could be a case of:

After you
No, after you
No, I insist
etc

“Tuesday has not been much of a rich pickings day for us and….the blades owe us one for the theft of 3 points last time we met at their place”

And here was me thinking they smash and grabbed a 2-1 with 2 goals in last minute.

Isn't that the Posh fan's point? We traded smash and grab 2-1 wins last season; we were a little fortunate to beat them at London Road while they took advantage of Peak Clough.

I didn't think they stole three points, as I recall we handed them over in the last five minutes.

They're wrong about last season's game being a few weeks later into the season. It's in exactly the same place - third game of the season, Peterborough's second home game, midweek.

Have to say I went down there last season without much hope after we'd lost to Brizzle and Coventry but we were excellent aside from a twenty minute period at the end of the first half. In that time, they scored an equaliser (set piece, free header, shocking I know) and could have gone in front but we survived to half time. Davies' winner was one of the high points of the season IMO.

fuck me.............we might actually dominate midfield tomorrow - that will be a FIRST !!!!!!

UTB

We don't have enough positivity in there to dominate midfield at the minute. We might be the first to a few balls but we need our CM's to be creative and do something with it. If Bash is going to be the "get your foot on it" kind of player then we need whoever is in there with him to take the bull by the horns and look to get the ball forward and get himself forward.

Just watched the highlights from them against Colchester and there are loads of gaps there to get in behind and exploit, Che could have another field day as should Sharp and Sammon if they play like this. We just need to have the confidence to do so!

I think we are going to do well tomorrow evening.

I am heading for the pub which is on a barge by the bridge, to enjoy a pint of Oakham Citra.

It's a bit of a bugger getting served on a matchday, monner. I'd suggest the Palmerston on Oundle Road. A real ale fan's wet dream.

I think (though the English isn't clear) that the Posh fan knows that it was them who stole the points: hence us "owing them one".
Sorry can't resist replying to this one..

Surely if they stole the 3 points, which they did, then they would owe us one not the other way around.

I think either the Posh fan thinks we won at our place, which is incorrect, or.. he means they owe us one. :)

Sorry to be an over-analytical fool, I can't help it.:(

To be fair I didn't see much analysis ;)

Surely that was the point he was making. That's the way I read his post.
