I agree, we want happy players who are committed to the club. But to say there is nothing we can do, isn't true.

We don't know what happens behind closed doors at the club. Maybe he didn't fit into Mr Adkins plans, he may not be the type of player Mr Adkins likes. Was he a bad influence in the dressing room, did his mrs want to move down south ? Is he more interested in money than who he plays for? We don't know he might just fancied moving clubs. Who knows but he's gone just hope the Money we got gets spent on players.

We should have made him see out his contract simple as that,

And had a player who doesn't want to play for us, maybe even never even plays in the first team again, costs us thousands of pounds a month and the let him go for nothing at the end of his contract. Or get £2.5 million now. Let me think about this one...

It sounds like Murphy wanted to go so there's nothing the club can do really only get the highest fee possible and invest in good signings who want to play for Sheffield United.
I don't believe the club wanted to let him go but their hands are tied really.
Che can take his role from tomorrow.

Adkins wants to play Adams up top, or so it seems so far.

As for Murphy wanting to leave, I wouldn't believe a word our club says on an outgoing transfer.
