Yep, as mentioned before, given his time at Reading Adkins would have a reputation as something of a has-been if he fails to get us up this season.

He could have held out for a job at a Championship club where finishing in the top half of the table would not result in the sack. Given what happened to Wilson and Clough, he needs to finish in the top two or win the play offs to keep his job at the Lane. Pressure indeed.
