Don't look like Hulse will start the season...............
From OS...............
United's first team squad returned to the Forsyth Academy on Monday to begin a thorough schedule of pre-season testing.
The Blades players will spend Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week at the training ground and Sheffield Hallam University undergoing physiological tests, plus speed, power and body composition assessments.
After the three-day testing period, United's charges will then embark on pre-season training.
The testing, coupled with a rigorous pre-season training programme, will ensure that Bryan Robson's squad is in tip-top condition come the start of the new campaign.
Geoff Horsfield, Alan Quinn and Keith Gillespie are pictured taking a breather during the first session.
Meanwhile, Daley confirmed that striker Rob Hulse, who is progressing well with his rehabilitation from a broken leg sustained in March, will be able to take part in some aspects of pre-season.
Defender Derek Geary (hip) and midfielders Nicky Law (dislocated shoulder) and Nick Montgomery (dislocated shoulder) have been given the all-clear to participate in pre-season training, having recovered from their respective injuries.
Daley said: "Rob is on schedule. He won't be doing any speed work, but he'll do some of pre-season.
"Nicky Law and Nick Montgomery need to avoid contact work at the moment, but they can do all the running without any problems. Derek has come back injury-free - he's fine."
