Nothing wrong with the decision to associate the stand with her.

Nothing wrong with the decision to sell the sponsorship to a commercial enterprise.

Nothing wrong with anything that's occurred here, and no need for any moral outrage.

Now, can we get out of the third division please? :)

So why don't we recognise Kell Brook? Just as much a hero as Jessica Ennis and he is a proper blade.
I'm not entirely sure that we should hang off the 'proper blade' tag, it's almost secondary to the achievements and iconic status

Whilst I really like kell brook and his achievements are decent, he's not yet reached the pinnacle of his career nor has he reached the top of his sport

Really Swiss. A world champ who is very close to his pinnacle who all other champs in his division are running away from fighting.

And not once did I ever refer to it as anything other than 'The Bramall Lane End'.
And that goes double if they ever even think of renaming the ground.

Big Kell fan but he needs to start living the life and hasn't beat all comers yet, unlike Enis, not even beaten someone in the world top 5 yet. Dann and Gavin aren't the level he should be operatin at, even for tune ups.
Also Mayweather running? Really?

It is - Ennis Olympic champ (I know she's a world champ as well but Olympic is recognised as a higher achievement), Brook world champ.
I personally don't think brook has proved himself as the best there is at his level until he unifies the belts.

I know it's not his fault that he's not fought everyone, but until he's done it then I don't think he's reached that same pinnacle

Just my opinion of course

Can he play centre half?

Nothing in there is opinion it's pretty much fact.

Kell is a great fighter but his Bladeness doesn't run that deep. It has to be Joe Root and Matt Fitzpatrick for me.

Note - I may not be ITK on football but my boxing contacts take some beating (pun intended). If you need to know anything, Max, I'm your man!

SwissBlade. Kell is the real deal mate. Khan, for example, won't go near him! I would back him with good money against an ageing Manny. Floyd? We'll give it a bit longer!

"Gone", good. She might be a superb athlete but she's got nothing to do with us.

Joe Root - good call. It's not just sporting achievement, it the willingness to show 'Bladesness' to the world. What is baffling is why Ennis got the call over Joe. Root has actually been seen at BDTBL. And he doesn't require £1m before he gets out of bed.

Joe Elliott. If you really want a worldwide household name that seeps Bladey Bladeness.

Do you come from the posh end of town Tyler?

In our house it's never (and never will be) anything other than "T' Lane End".

Typical conversation Saturday late 60's:
G2K - Which end we going on today dad.
G2K Snr.- Think we'll do t' Lane End today son.
G2K - Ace, can I take me knife?

Forget Ennis-Hill, forget Kell Brook (or even Kelly) - if we were going to rename the Bramall Lane Stand or any other after a legendary Blade then surely it should be the Alan Woodward Stand - forever... amen.

The point of it was that it was recognising a Sheffield sports star from outside football.

Not doubted that, I've just said he's not at the top of his sport yet.

If Bladesness is a factor, how about the Billy Sharp Stand?
