If you want to build up a reputation being someone ITK. Keep things to yourself and stop badgering people for stuff. Most people who know stuff tend not to be on Twitter asking anybody and everybody what they know

The problem I see with young max is he's not sure what he wants to be.

maxstertheblade please take this as advice not as a dig. You need to figure out if you want to be a journalist/reporter or a mysterious in the knower. You can't be both which is what your are trying to do at the moment.

For all we know the real ITK people on here and bladesMad are people inside the club. They could be Rob Station, Jonathan Buchan etc. But they hide their identity so as not to ruin their chances of being the first to post a "ITK" post in future.

Did you watch Broadchurch? There was a young reporter on there who would do anything he could to get a "story" whether that is shitting on those close to you or just stealing someone else's knowledge, he would do anything in his power to get the story.

This is similar to what you are doing, trolling through random football websites for news and rumours. The most credible one you started is the Sky Sources one. Sky are a credible (questionable) organisation and wouldn't say "our sources say" if there was no truth in the rumour. This is where you differ.

So, do you want to be a snakey reporter or a mysterious "ITKer"??

Ah but matt, what you're missing is that maxster IS one of Sky's reliable sources :D

Max, your comedy-reporting talents extend far beyond this forum.....have you considered sharing your opinions on Bladesmad? It's a cracking place for Blades of a certain intellectual outlook, at least that's what I've heard, and your eagerness to spread the word, and reinforce your position as chief Blades cub reporter wouldn't go unnoticed.

Problem with that is you can't just 'become' an 'ITK'er' as and when you want.

"Do you want chat with that"

I would add this well-intentioned and, I hope, constructive advice:

If you want to be a sports journalist, Max, you will have to put a bit more effort into your English lessons. There is no gentle way to say this: Your written English requires a good deal of improvement before you can think about writing as a career. Even the most basic of local hacks is expected to construct grammatically correct copy with accurate spelling and without resort to slang, or worse, informal abbreviations. I suspect you are one of countless young victims of textspeak and social media, both of which not merely tolerate, but actively encourage, a shameful misuse of language, such that I fear for the future of creative writing in this country and elsewhere.

Treat yourself to a good quality etymological dictionary (not a little pocket thing) for your next birthday. Read a few well-written sports books: Cricket has been blessed with several great writers; football less so, I'm afraid. Buy a quality newspaper from time to time as a bit of respite from internet transfer rumour s(h)ites. Watch the news occasionally and try to keep (reasonably) well-informed about current affairs beyond the latest transfer speculation. These things will serve you well.

Even Mike Steveo has gone quiet and is left peddling "rumours" that we're looking to sign CBs and a striker.

...and he doesn't have the very real and compelling mitigation of youth and immaturity (well, maybe the latter..).

I always find the whole In the Know thing a bit suss, as if you have a close enough relationship to somebody with real knowledge within the club, would you jeopardise that by spouting information on a public forum to make yourself look good.

Mal Brannigan is a good friend of a friend, I have met him several times and always found him to be the epitome of discretion around club affairs. If he did share any info, I certainly wouldn't betray the trust by rushing onto here to shout about it for my own vain glories.

I get a certain amount of amusement from the rumours section, but until I see the confirmed banner I treat most of them with the scepticism they deserve.

Not sure what you're all trying to achieve. No need to belittle the lad as you have the option to ignore him. What a set of cunts

"Cunts".......really? that is a bit harsh to say the least.....it maybe part of your standard vocabulary but I would only reserve such a phrase for really nasty, awful types, certainly not in this context

Although I hate the phrase most of it is "banter".....maxter is giving as good, (even to my "missies") as he gets!
