A plea to all blades

I don't think that's right mate. There were some people, yourself included, who were strongly in favour of a sacking. There was no groundswell of popular opinion in support of that. Concern yes, and I shared that, but most were of the "let's see if he's learned lessons...give him 10/12/until Christmas persuasion." The minority were, as ever, much more outspoken.

There was more fan pressure in Semipro's departure, I think, certainly after Non-Wembley.

I do hope we don't have Shoutbox madness this time round, every time the manager picks a team that doesn't suit the Crew's party line or we dare to lose a game...
Accept what you say P but I reached the end of my tether with managers that were not up to the job. Understand people thinking leave it until Xmas but if it went south that's another season in this piss poor league.
Given the outcome (NC gone NA in) are you pleased we acted now to give him a clear run at the season or do you still think we should have hung on to NC on the off chance he would build a team and get it working in 5 months?

Brilliant, you are a poster of the highest quality with stuff like this.
Thank you, where's my like? ;)

Sometimes someone has to put their head above the parapet and say this ain't working. Looking forward to next season rather than dreading it.
Challenge anyone to say they wish we had NC instead of NA for the start of the season.

On paper the end result is a better one, but some of the disrespect for Clough is eyewatering, your comments previously being an example. He wasn't a twat, he wasn't clueless, he wasn't a bad Manager. But some of the stuff you see on here these days is straight from the greatest hits of BladesMad. What a great leap forward that is for us all. Thanks.

I had not contemplated the availability of, or the determination of our board to get, someone of Adkins' quality. I have to be honest and answer your question in the affirmative, though I am not comfortable with myself about it. NC certainly lost his way somewhat last season but I still remember Charlton, Forest, Villa etc. and especially Wembley (first time we've turned up in my lifetime!) with great fondness. I think the continued sniping at him from some (not you so far as I am aware) is rather distasteful, especially turning the likes of Doyle, Collins, De Juve and Butler into some sort of heroes without any real knowledge of the facts.

I'm looking forward to the season with great optimism, now. Under NC It would have been hopefulness laced with caution. I think that's a balanced answer?

I hope Adkins can get rid of our dross now and let's hope we get in some good signings for once!:)

Totally agree with this P ^^^^^^^^^^^

I have complained several times that threads on NC keep being raised and debated. Regardless of the rights or wrongs of his leaving (don't think I read he had been sacked) he has gone and most wish him well.
