Barry Hayles made a few appearances for us if i recall?? looks like his career is coming to an end.

"Former Fulham and Jamaica striker Barry Hayles has been released by Truro City at the age of 43.

Hayles, who won 10 caps for his country, first joined the Cornish club in 2010 and had three spells with them.

And after a 26-year career on the biggest, and smallest stages, he still has a lot to offer, according to Tully.

"I'm sure he'll be out there playing somewhere because he's got the bug to play football," he told BBC Sport."

Yes he only made a handful of appearances, didn't score before moving on to Millwall i think. If this is a player suggestion DP i'll ring the ambulance now:)

Ah the Jewel in Warnock's crown as I recall him being described! Up there with Ebbrell as one the worst signings in our history.

Didnt he have a decent record before joining us?

I think he fell out with Warnock &was bombed out back down south.

SUFC - The strikers graveyard.

We signed him from Fulham in C/s 2004 and he played the first 4 games of 04-05 before we sold him to Millwall before the end of the August window.

There no doubt was a falling out with NW.

I thought at the time that it was just a realisation that NW had made a massive error signing someone clearly unsuited to our style. I remember seeing him on the Cornwall tour and the initial games, and for whatever reason things weren't gelling. A shame, as I was convinced at the time he signed that it was a bit of a coup getting him here.

I was very pleased when we signed him, I saw him play against us the previous season at Bramall Lane and I loved his combative, up and at 'em style - I think he may have won a penalty against us?

That's what he was good at and I remember being very disappointed that we sold him so quickly.

So 'shit'....no, he just wasn't given a chance at SUFC - I wonder why Warnock bought him in the first place, the trade of players is such a complex matter?

I seem to remember he was class at Fulham

One of a clutch of players we've signed in recent (ish) years who had previously been sent off against us.

Mark Rankine
Andrew Davies
Bobby Ford (?)

Stuart McCall should have been for Bradford (about four times).

Warnock was well known in football for his obsession in signing loads of strikers! One of his few weaknesses!
