He signed a new contract at Norwich last year but I can't see him ousting John Ruddy at present. He performed extremely well consistently for PNE at this level on loan so maybe it could be a loan move.

Football isn't noted for its imaginative nickname rituals and if they played in different positions, it might just be possible to avoid identity confusion. However, as they're both custodians, if Declan's known affectionately as Ruddy, as her surely is, that doesn't leave much forJohin, other than Ruddy-y.

He did do well at PNE. If Howard's form doesn't pick up to pre-injury levels then Rudd is a great shout.

I think howards improved massively since Rotherham away when I never wanted plsy again. I would rather give long or willis a go 1st before buying outside

But I know very little about rudd bar on FM2013 I got him on loan as cover but always on subs bench as he shipped goals

aa lot of blades seem to have given up on george long why? he is still only 21 and with the experience he now has
both good and bad !! he ime sure will be knocking on the door this coming season.

If a player cannot hold down a first team place by the time he is 20 it is unlikely he ever will I'm afraid

One good game doesn't make Long a top keeper, I take it you didn't see the many games where he was gash and making mistake after mistake ?
For once I agree with Pinchy , Long will not make it above League two

Ridiculous to write off a keeper who has been part of a promotion team. He's not been great for Motherwell, but the fact he's been playing illustrates that he's improving and the loan spell will have done him a world of good. We need new keeper coaches as everyone just seems to have gone downhill.

Not a promotion team, just one which won a playoff to avoid relegation.
