A serious question about an important decision.
Too long and we could get stuck paying out a fortune in compensation if he fails.
Too short and it shows a lack of faith and it's easier for other clubs to poach him if he succeeds.

Edit:- Not sure what's happened to the poll, it seems to have brought forward previous votes from a poll about Lech Walesa?!

That may depend on what NA finds an acceptable contract i.e. If we say 2 years it may spook him into worrying about our "hire 'em fire 'em" ways and he may not have accepted.

I reckon it will be a 3 year deal.

1 year with 1 extra year conditionally upon gaining promotion

Didn't I read somewhere it was a 2 year deal.

I have reservations about NA and he is involved as an ambassador somewhere and didn't to me seem keen to get back into football.

Maybe it's "2 years to get us up Nige and then bog off?"

If he gets us in championship then premier he has a job for life :)

It may well be a contract full of clauses ,relating to bonus related issues , which the first hurdle is out of league 1 .

I am sure this will cover both cash , success , motivation , bonus , length of service related issues , which has to be amicable to both parties . The next step is sorting out all the new managers back room staff contracts , when they are appointed.

This exercise for getting rid of Clough and Co , and appointing the new manager , and his back room staff , could be one of the costliest outlays SUFC have ever had to carry out.

I read 2 years, but guesswork about the length of contract seems a bit pointless. If he fails he'll be replaced, if he succeeds discussions will commence to extend Adkins' contract.
