I know that it will be breaking news shortly, but our man, is still our man, the costs of removing him and the expenditure are proving too much, in his opinion, he's half way through a 4 year plan,.and in the boards opinion its 50/50 to quit now on him,.players, backroom staff.. etc..

However, recent public opinion shows the fanbase are behind him till xmas at least so he got the go ahead....

Some people need to hang their head in shame, because we have a man who will not be wrong, is ruthless, stubborn, and shows every trait of being a winner... without ever winning as a manger..

See you in 12 months, when we can afford to ditch the serial loser.

2 more seasons in league one, at the very least have been guaranteed today..

My word, they've opened up board meetings to the public, now! I'm all for open government Jim, but this is on a grand scale. Why wasn't I invited?

Just a word to the wise, though. You might want to restrict attendance to discreet individuals who don't broadcast your every word to the world on the Internet.

What's that? Tezza. Yeah, Tezza of all people. What? Never heard of him? Come on Jim, you know Tezza, don't give me that bollocks....

So you have invented a rumour about a decision that you have no idea has been made ( or even discussed) at board level just to slate the club and manager and then state that your made up rumour doesn't agree with your opinion.

Brilliant

You are talking about the right clough, aren't you? Not brain?

Sorry to say but a lot of what Tezza says is correct, however it's not rocket science to realise Clough is staying as he wouldn't have been aloud to get rid of Doyle if he was about to get the boot. I have been told we can't afford to get rid but that doesn't mean we were going to. I think it will have been discussed at board level and the decision to keep him will have been made. I don't however agree with what Tezza says about getting rid next season as when we sign the 2 central defenders, midfielder and forward clough wants we will be much closer than this year and if anyone likes a bet I'd get mine on us now at 13/2.

Well if he's staying he's staying. I'm not going to dwell (though I was hoping he would go) on hating him. However, I reserve the right to call it as I see it next season without being called a slasher, doom monger, moaner etc.

New season starts now, first expectations is to see a clear out and a proper team structure put together sooner not later. Non of this waiting for the right man, go get the feckers

Only problem is if board are nervous will the release funds?

[shudder]

I think it is obvious as I would have expected him to have gone by now.

Unless we were trying to agree terms with someone else of course. But yeah, I think he will stay now.

Unusually optimistic for you David? I'm not complaining though. You were the only one who correctly called the promotion race two years ago when experts like me were dismissing both Doncaster and Bournemouth. If you're on at 13/2 I think I'd better have some as well! ⚽

That's funny, last I heard is they were going to speak to him seeking answers to what he'd do differently if he were allowed to carry on.

We have actually been unlucky this season, yes some bad decisions but who would have expected nearly all our main signings to have so many problems.

Butler - didn't fit in simple as
Higdon - looked great again BC although we lost, just couldn't get going.
Wallace - just a crock, must have passed a medical though.

That's one in each department, spine of the team, could of been so different.

Clough picks his signings carefully, I think many back up players became first team he has another full summer to get it right and I genuinely believe he knows what he needs.

I actually meant to put picks, but yeah he does, like I said many players who were for back up or to young ended up playing because other signings didn't work out for one reason or another, look at Brayford, Done etc. we slag some but they should have been back up IMO.

yep, let's look at Brayford. Managed to sign one Premiership defender who could play at this level and actually train with us. He paid £1.5 million for a right back on huge wages who he's played at CB and who hasn't been great since re-signing. If he'd have been picky he might have thought to buy a centre back because traditionally football teams have them. I think he must have lost his penguin book of football.

And let's look at Done. Scored 21/22 goals this season but doesn't fit into his formation so played out of position, magically injured or on the bench/ Very picky.

For all my sarcasm, he has signed some good players. He's signed a lot more average and not good enough though. despite only wanting a small squad full of quality.

So where've they got that impression from?

I would expect the twitterati to be about 50-50 and people who don't use computers to be at least 80-20 in Clough's favour.

So is that 13/2 for us to get 'much closer' or 13/2 on Clough getting the players we've known are required all last season, but NC has utterly failed to sign? If it's the latter, I think 50/1 would be fairer.

He's got this coming season - then it may be a 4 year contract - to get us out of here.

There's a big percentage of people who don't contribute to message boards or use Twitter (this is everyone I know from close friends, work mates, pub regulars) . They may or may not use computors. There's not a cat in hell's, in my estimation, that 80% of them would support Clough.
