What sort of team do we have? Kenny is great but we need a back-up. Bennett will function in the Championship but a tall Jamaican Goalie could be good for all those ‘live in hope’ high balls we are going to see. Assuming Jags is gone, we still have Geary, Davis, Kilgallon and Armstrong; with Morgan and Lucketti for the heavy lifting and Bromby as a back-up. In mid-field we have Gillespie and CKR on the outside. Down the middle we have a problem if Robbo wants to play football Monty and Legs don’t fit which leaves Tonge and Fathi with Law and S. Quinn as back-up. Got to fill that gap. Up front we have six strikers, although I would not be surprised to see Nade and Webber leave. Whichever way you cut it, that is still a great Championship team. I got hope!

IMO

Kenny - We need to keep him, even if this jamacan is good, there arent enough GOOD keepers around to replace kenny if he goes

Jags - Heart telling me he'll stay head telling me he'll go. Hope he stays and tries to get promoted with us again. One more season is the most we can hope to keep him especially if we dont go up.

Geary - Seen him play in the last few matches, need to keep him. we dont have that many options on either side of defence.

Davis - one of three that we must keep at all costs for the back.

Killa - Starting to worry about him. Maybe it was nerves, maybe he wasnt fully fit, but he doesnt look anything like the player that was described when he was signed.

Stretch - another must keep for me.

Morgan - Dont think he has too many seasons left in him. He is the rock that must be used as a foundation for the back. IMO

Lucky - Looked good in the appearances that he made, then dissapeared. Needs to find the form again, and would be great alongside Morgan

Bromby - Need him to be fit and injury free. Gives some support and options.

Keeeeef - Hopefully if he gets his deal, he will become the player that we all know he can be again. Maybe under a new manager he will do it.

CKR - Cant see him leaving, one of only two options IMO on the left of midfield

Monty - looked rusty in latter stages of season, which considering the breaks in the prem, doesnt look good. Quality when he tries, just needs to try harder.

Legs - Sell Him quick and get as much as poss for him. Dont rate him. Bad Buy. IMO

Tonge - think he needs to continue his recent form and take us all back to the tonge of old. in the early season i would have said sell, now i say hold on to him.

Fathi - Great things promised, havent seen him myself but has the potential. Hopefully with a full preseason, he can move on.

Law - Looking good.

Squinny - Bright stint in his first few matches. Didnt seem to be there against wigan, not to the level that he had been. Im expecting big things

Nade - Hopefully he will stay and get better than he already is. shown us what he can do against arsenal, and has a great work rate.

Webber - Cant see him being here long. Could have been the Hero against wigan, needs to be sharper for that very reason.

Shelton - Not seen enough of him. What we saw against manure was what i expected, same with fathi, hopefully we will be a regular after a good preseason

Stead - IMO was the only thing that kept us in the relegation dogfight. 6 goals since jan gives him a better record than stead. Hope he doesnt do what he's done at blackburn etc and be a no show next season. We know that the partnership with hulse does work.

Hulse - Think he will stay, reports this morning are that he will. Needs to get over the injury. Really do think that he will be able to fire us back to the prem. just needs the partner and the service.

This is IMHO

i have a feeling kenny will not go any where ever the fact his registration on his car is h5 utd tells me he love it here, what amug he would look with that regat another club. Also think nade will set the championship alight next season can see him getting 15 goals plus 15 for stead and 20 for hulse.

Without going through the entire team, i think that we have enough in deffence and up front to push for automatic promotion this coming season.

The majority of fans know that we need to add a couple of creative midfilders to the squad to proivde the ammunition and allow us to play some football for a change.

I'm not sure that any of our high profile players (Paddy, Tonge, Jags) will leave during the close season but i honestly think they are all replacable so i won't be devestated if they do.

A couple of creative players will add some much needed excitment following the ambivilance / outrage that has followed the appointment of Robbo.

I, for one, am looking forwards to the new season already!

we have enough now if we can just get hold of a small world class striker from argintina on a "legal non 3rd party contract" that should just about complete the squad. :) (been reading too much about west spam again)

Yeah i think we have a decent squad to go back up but we need to bring in that creative midfielder.

Pedro Verde anyone? :D

He doesn't get on with Koumas though does he?

According to someone who works in PR for a certain player/club, they didn't fall out, but Koumas didn't agree with Robbo's attempts to try and make him work harder and not ignore his defensive duties. Koumas has since apparently admitted that Robbo was right and that he's lazy :)

Well i think Koumas may get snapped up by a prem team if West Brom dont go up.

My view on the players...

Kenny - Keep him here. Great keeper for the Championship

Jags - If we can keep him that will be great. But if he goes i still think we have a great team to go back up.

Geary - Think he did well last season in the Prem. Keep him again and see how it goes.

Davis - Definitely keep

Killa - Was one of the best players outside of the prem. Easily up to it in Championship i think

Stretch - Not sure myself about him now.

Morgan - Think he is another player that will be useful in that division

Lucky - Same as Morgan really.

Bromby - Was good at right back in Championship IF we can keep him fit

Keeeeef - Dropped off in form after the Reading sending off. If he can return to form then we have a great player.

CKR - Great prospect. Great signing

Monty - Tries hard but the quality isn't there. Wouldnt really be too sad to see him go

Legs - Get rid

Tonge - Think he can have a good season for us next year. Tongey is one of my favourite players

Fathi - Not seen much of him. But maybe he will get more of a look in next season and prove something to us.

Law - Looked pretty good. Think he could shine in the Championship.

Squinny - Poor game against Wigan and dropped off form a bit, not sure why. But hopefuly some 'easier' matches for him will help regain his confidence and help him find his form once again.

Nade - A player that i think could be great at Championship level.

Webber - Think he should go now. Not really going to get a look in7

Shelton - Same as Fathi really. Had a great game against Man Utd. We will have to wait and see

Stead - Great player - keep him:D

Hulse - Once he gets rid of the injury and gets some games under his belt. He should continue where he left off.

I think they'll take the opportunity this year to try and blood some of the youth team graduates... whether that be in our team or out on serious loan deals.

A lot of youngsters were released and they need to start thinking seriously about what to do with the ones they have left... if they haven't got a future with the Blades, then let them go and find clubs as they're at the age where they need to be playing regularly.

It'll be interesting to see if we can get the right balance this year... we have most of the squad who took us up and we have added more quality to it. Plus the majority of the players are used to playing the Championship.

I'm looking forward to next season regardless... going to away grounds and not expecting a defeat :D

Can't wait for the new away games Linz :D

Hope Plymouth is a sat this time though.

Like last season? There wasn't many people snapping at all

Koumas has won the championship player of the year award, turned in some expectional performances at international level as well as in the league and managed to stay releatively headline free all season.

I would be extreamly shocked if he weren't at the top of the majoirty of the mid to lower premiership clubs wanted list.

We can't really spend until we know which league we are in, just hang on a minute.
