"Clough cloggers"? Have these 3 eyed 12 fingered inbreds ever watched anyone other than their own?

Feels like just another game to me, I would like to win it just to get some feel good factor back before play off though. They really seem to hate us though o_O

'Big club mentality' - what are we meant to do? Not appreciate the fact that we take about a thousand more to every away game and 10 thousand at home games. Should this be ignored that we are the biggest club in the division? Should we just ignore that we've spent the majority of our history in higher divisions?

Well when other fans bang on about it every week, I suppose jealousy is the highest form of flattery. But my god it annoys me.

We are numerically a big club but tbf I do detect a sense of entitlement in some of our more intemperate correspondents.

If I strongly disagree with a post I tend to find it ends with something like, Let's get out of this shit division.

Sorry, but have to take you to task on the word "entitlement".

Whilst a small minority may have a S6 massive mentality, the majority of Blades have an expectation level which is greater than where we are now.

I find the constant verbal jealousy of other fans comments tiresome, infantile and quite frankly irrelevant.

I think sometimes there's a sense of entitlement.

You think sometimes there's a sense of entitlement.

I'm puzzled how this is a disagreement.

I think there's a sense of expectation in the fact that we've:

Spent more money than anyone else
have more players than anyone else
Should be a more attractive prospect than any other club
Have the biggest support/turnover

It's more the fact, given the money and transfer dealing, we should be getting out of this league. It's frustrating that we've struggled to do so for so long.

I can't ever remember using the word entitlement with Blades fans.
Why do you say I think there is entitlement?

Please don't get me started on the spoon fed entitlement brigade with an Election looming.

Awww bless em! We're everything they want to be and I admire plucky spirit. Small town team with a nice little new ground, they're doing well with what they have.

I live in Chesterfield, it's a nice little town in parts and some people are ok. I've been to their ground a few times for various matches with the blades, chez v posh on Boxing Day, England u17s game a few weeks back and a couple of private dos in the corporate area. They're a very good example of a community club and they should be admired. They're about where they should be in the football pyramid.

I listened to peak 107 early on Monday as I set off for work and they had a roving reporter outside their ground, some of which had camped over night. Was this for play off final tickets, Elton John live or a major event? Nope it was for Sheffield United away.

In short it's their cup final. I'm sure they'll be noisy, bring balloons and just come to enjoy a big day in the City.

I've no idea why they think we've got a big club mentality from though.

Good luck to them. I like Chezzer as I like Rotherham. Both clubs punching above their weight with good managers playing attacking football.

I'll not be suicidal if we lose to them. That only happens with me if it's Wednesday, Forest or Leeds. No enmity from me to the Spireites, they're a decent bunch. Would rather they go up than Preston or MK Dons if we don't get there.

I think we have gone past Blades expectation . We just expect the inevitable, and take it on the chin.

Awww Swiss......................you ve just burst my bubble.

Because of your name,Naive idiot that I am I actually thought you lived in Switzerland!!!! I had this mental image of you sitting on the balcony of your alpine lodge supporting the Blades from afar.

Now I find you live in Chesterfield!!!!!

You ll be telling me there s no father Christmas next.

I was born in Chezzer, went to secondary school in chezzer, and had to fight tooth and nail against a mixture of pigs and the odd spireite for 6 years of secondary education, during that time they did the double over us even though we got promoted and they got relegated in 1988.

I used to think they were ok, then one day went on their kop for a match with a mate and they cheered the half times when we were losing somewhere.

After that, they can bollocks, can't stand them.

It will be a great shame if Chezvegas fans develop the "attitude" that Barnsley fans have, because atm I'm quite ambivalent to Chezzie and usually like to see them do well, as a local Club.

I'm quite happy to see Chezzie, Donnie and Rotherham do well (except against us of course ) but have no time for Barnsley at all due to their attitude. I'm assuming its because they're so close to the porcine lady-boys in South Barnsley so it rubs off on them too.

And as for the moronic comment about us being cloggers !!! Ha ha .... he obviously hasn't watched us at all ......

To be fair to the Chezzers on the Updates, it seems the majority looking forward to a day out in Sheffield and all it's delights. And who can blame them.

I hope they still remain in a warm, soft focus, ambivalent view of mine by mid afternoon tomorrow. And most especially at the next Bank Holiday.

I don't really give two shits what Chesterfield fans think about us, to be honest, and I don't really have any thoughts one way or the other about their fans. Just another little club that thinks of us as a "big" scalp when they beat us. We're third division for a reason. We may have more fans and a bigger ground, but that's about all at the moment.

I'm feeling a bit "can't be arsed" at this part of the season. Can't get excited about any of it now.

And a depressing sense of accepting woeful standards amongst others?

:)

I was there for almost 5 years, living and working back in the UK now for the first time in 11 years. Even worse, I now work in Grimsby!
