Why the over reaction again??

a point today was not a bad point, the important thing today was that we didn't lose as Bradford could well have caught us then, and i for one didn't think the performance was that bad at all, Coutts, Baxter and freeman played especially well i thought. Yes it was a very sloppy frustrating goal but i didn't think they really deserved it as i thought we were comfortable at 1-0, Clough said in his interview that he couldn't understand why the team sat back, and sat behind him i could see him trying to get the players out, that backed up by the change to put Adams on isnt that an attacking change? Today was summed up by an idiot in the 91st minute shouting at clough "cant even beat 10 men, absolutely shite". If they hadn't have scored today there's no way people would be slagging off clough for that performance

Cant we just get behind them till the end of the season without booing every performance which isnt perfect?! UTB
 

I'm sorry but from the kop, I didn't see a team pushing forward to win the game and that isn't good enough. We brought Adams on in the 81st minute - too late. Why did we not bring on Done/McNulty? The game was crying out for one of them 10 minutes after we scored. We got behind the team when we scored. However, I will not get behind a team that don't look like they can be arsed. If they can't be arsed, why should I be?

Coutts played ok today but his crossing................. meh!

I lost count of the number of crosses he made where he didn't beat the first man

Tough game against tough opposition. Draw fair result imo

Yes, you can argue Bradford didn't really do enough to win the game, but as the home side, I didn't really think we did enough either

But today yet again, shows just how average we look. I see no conceivable way we can get through the play-offs with the displays we are currently giving

Could be wrong and I hope I am, but I see nowt but a 5th term in div 3 next season

Speak to any Derby fan and they'll tell you the same happened with them, go 1 up and try and defend it.

If he can't understand why it was happening at Derby and now with us, it's pretty obvious he ain't that good of a manager.

He certainly spends a lot of time shouting and gesturing at them to get forward for a man who wants them to sit back.

So why did it happen at Derby and now with us? That's 6 years of management and it's still happening.

That's a separate issue, but he certainly appears to be asking for the opposite from the sidelines more often than not.
 
Yes I don't why people are so upset that we are looking at our fifth straight year in The Third division and with a manager who had never won a football league promotion.

Every thing in the garden is rosy

He's obviously signing the wrong players then, so it's still all his fault :D

I didn't say he wants them to sit back but as it keeps happening there is clearly a problem. The common factor with us and Derby seems to be that Clough is manager, could it be that he is the problem? :eek:

Tough opposition??!!! I'm sorry but they were not tough opposition, although I agree a draw was a fair result. They came to win and left enough gaps for us to exploit but yet again we were slow and ponderous on the attack.
The game was crying out for Che Adams from about the 10th minute. He is direct, had pace and isn't afraid to take players on. He creates things and is one of the very, very few players that looks a threat.
This squad is too big, too similar and lacking in real quality. How many of our team would you fear of they lined up for the opposition??? 2 or 3 at the most maybe???
I'm usually really positive but that today was just more of the same dire, crap. If we had played with any purpose today then we would have won easily. We didn't and that's why it was tough.

Yes , like you can never remember who were league or cup runners up. Like you say , there is always next year , or the year after . After all we only have to pay for the pleasure , and its only football . Its taking part that counts.:eek:

Strange this because normally I have been very critical especially recently but today I was surprised by the full time boos
Yes it was still a bit frustrating and yes we've thrown another 2 points away but I did think there was a slightly more positive approach today.
We played with a bit more fluency and but for some better final balls we could have had more end product.
Not saying it was brilliant or good enough but just that I don't think it was as bad as the reaction suggested .. Hardly something to put the flags out about.
Che Adams showed in 10 minutes as he did against spurs why he is worth more game time .
And as for some of the comments about NC waving the team forward - from what I saw that was only after they scored !! He was happy at one nil such as is mantra.

At what point did i actually say that the garden was all rosy? I'm as disappointed as anybody this season, yes we should have signed a centre half, yes we haven't progressed as well as i would have wanted them to, but what i can't stand is fans booing every time the team doesn't win. For Bradford it was win or bust today so of course they were going to be pressing for a win.

I wish they'd have gone for the kill today like other games, but i do honestly think clough didn't intend for us to sit back like we did,(even said so in his interview) and did try to change it putting on Adams.

They looked plenty motivated to me. Doyle for one was going round the team at various points saying things to the players.

AFAIK this simply isn't the way we play. 1-0 brings teams on to us and then we try to nick the ball and break. It actually hasn't happened for a while. Murph used to get goals this way.

We don't park the bus.
