Sorry for the breach of copyright Roy.

The Manager
We have taken him on a youth loan, so the 93-day rule doesn’t apply and he could be here as long as both clubs like. He won’t play every game or 90 minutes every week but he’s an important player who makes us stronger and has got that bit of quality to unlock doors.”

DDG himself

“I was playing out of position at Sheffield United. I can play on the left wing, I suppose, but it took a lot of adjusting to, so I was really excited about coming back, because the gaffer here plays me up front and that’s my natural position.
At United, I was expected to defend more than attack and that's not really my game

The Fans
As for the De Girolamo piece above, it was a very interesting read and i like the cut of the mans gib. Sounds a grounded lad and i would personally be devastated to see him leave after the Plymouth game.

I would love to see him back

He's a great player

No disrespect to Sheff Utd but I hope they get beat in the replay as it's the only way we are going to get Di Girolamo back
and we certainly need him with our lack of goals.

I think we all saw that Diego was a neat little player who, provided he keeps developing, will ply his trade at a division higher than the one we are in at the moment. really hope we can still get De Giralamo back too tho

Di Girolamo just looks much more of a natural goalscorer

really great news having Diego on a longer loan,i think as the season go,s on hes only going to get stronger and better.Sheff u seem to have a real talent there.personally ive always liked to see a good confident young up and coming striker growing in the side

when he is 'on song' he is too mobile for Div 2 defenders - and it's control , not just pace or power.
It's clear when he plays that he is a real cut above this level and that bodes well for us. If we keep him here for the season
then i'm not saying we're a one man team by any means but we'll stay up no problems. The lad has got talent and he backs it up with a tangible end product. STAY DIEGO, STAY!!

I would hope we can get DiGirolamo back

We have only scored four goals in our last seven matches, and this young lad has scored three of them.

The positives from today were Halliday and De Girolamo who were both excellent and deserved better.

Yes Diego certainly is a great striker - probaly the best in League Two. The goal and near miss against Cheltenham were
examples of outstanding skills which would have graced anylevel. The Chelt defenders didn't know where the ball was!

his goal was another one for the end-of-season DVD compilation

he is a special footballer and he needs to play with special players and I don't mean to be disrespectful the City players

I don't understand this love in. No one is better at playing youngsters than Clough. Look how he's brought in Reed and Kennedy. Yet this guy hardly gets a look in. Either he's just not good enough or Clough is missing something. I think it's probably he's not good enough (yet). The lad should get his head down, work bloody hard and see how it develops. Moving some where else will make no difference.

You should know by now every defeat is followed by Diego is the answer. It's fucking tiresome.

I think we all realise Mr Clough knows what he id doing with the younger players . Just because he is good enough for international U17 , U18 football doesn't automatically mean he is good enough for league 1.

See Messi several times a season here in Spain , he defends a hell of a lot
Ronaldos cleared several headers off his own goal line
Rooney , defends as much as he attacks

Modern forwards who want to reach the heights cant stand up field waiting for the ball, he if he only wants to play up front York is where he will end up
Im off to watch atletico play Real tommorow , bet no Atletico forward stays in other teams half, they sweat blood

To remain balanced, we should remind ourselves that Clough is capable of falling out with some good players, to our cost.
