There will be 6k Spurs at Bramall so it should be a cracker. I have a feeling Pochettino will play Lloris, Chadli and Kane in his right position. Adebayor takes so much away from our performance levels. Did the booing of him come across on the box?

I heard some booing on the box. It was a mixture. Not sure if the applause was for Soldado replacing him. Definite boos in some sections though.

My first thought was - if they don't want him can we have him?

I've seen a lot in the press about how poor Spurs were last night, but might I also add that in terms of possession, we weren't exactly on top form either. We conceded quite a lot of unnecessary possession in midfield and lacked a bit of bite going forward, despite our organisation at the back.

Spurs might be a different team next week, but I would expect us to be too.

Completely agree, we seemed to panic when we got the ball. I thought Baxter seemed composed when he came on, Scougall and JCR worried them at times but we need to keep the ball better in the second leg to pose more of a threat going forward.

agree murphy and walker were equally brilliant against each other
Again without wanting to labour the point, I think the game showed up how you can catch Walker out diving in our of position exposing the space in behind him.
We did it a few times where we tempted him in around the halfway line to move the ball quickly toward the space in behind him.
His pace allows him to get back at lot of the time but it's something obviously for us to look at again.

Thought we played decent but not spectacularly, we squandered possession too often in the second half and didn't look as comfortable. The other problem is the same old one in that we're sloppy when we do carve out decent positions we tend to play a poor final ball.

Very encouraging performance given we know we weren't at the top of our game.

That's our main hope. JCR and Murph get behind them. We aren't going to creat anything through the middle.

It's my biggest frustration with him, because he use to do it for us. His positional awareness and discipline (ie not diving in when it isn't necessary) hasn't improved while at Spurs which is a surprise.

One of the main guys on five live pointed out how good we were and we did not deserve to loose the game. he said we denied them the space and stuff and I was waiting for him to point out we gave the ball away a little to quickly at times but then realized he'd probably not seen us this season.

Did you hear some nobhead fan on 5live being interviewed on the way out and did they sound familiar? :D

Not a very technical breakdown of our performance but I've bumped into three pigs this morning all who grudgingly said we'd done well.

That's good enough for me.

Missed it. I always miss the best bits. Perhaps you can string a compilation together of said fans best (or worst) bits together for us;).

A Wendy fan said to me this morning how impressed with JCR he was last night.
If only he could cross a ball better.

Well played Blades. I knew you were half decent but you surprised me tonight just how good you are.

I have seen all our home games this season and you would not like out of place against a few of the teams that have visited us so far this season.

why the bloody he'll are you at the top of Division One?

Enjoying a pint now. Also, your fans were superb.

Game on next week.

All the best.

I remember first noticing your namesake play at Wembley in 2009 v. Burnley (play-off final). I think it was his fifth game and already he looked the 'real deal'. In fact he should have been awarded a pen. late on, but the ref. wasn't having any of that.

Obviously, us Blades were sick when we sold him, but it would have been like keeping a thoroughbred racehorse in Steptoe's stable with Hercules.

Since then, he's had a serious injury but I feel there's something untoward going on?

Ha! - Yes, I just caught that when I tuned in after the game - He sounded more 'Northern' on the radio than he does in person - was he putting it on for the media? Probably the contrast in who he was speaking to.

...bloody media whore taking over from Greenwich Blade :D
