There will be a few things which come as a surprise to Spurs fans tonight:

1. When the teams shake hands most of our players will be looking up at their players.
2, We will not kick them off the park
3. We will play the ball on the ground.
4. We will not threaten them at set-pieces.
5. League 1 players do not dive
6. League 1 players rarely pull shirts.
7. League 1 players are never " in the ear" of the referee ( Except Preston).
8. We do not have a big centre forward.
9. Kane will be the busiest player on the field, certainly none of ours will be.
10. Our fans will be as good as they have ever seen.

So you're still defending the goading cockney?

I don't need to praise the blades. The whole world has watched tonight and most are very shocked and surprised at the 1-0 result. Fantastic result.

Nope, I am not defending anyone I am saying you have no class. Enjoy the moment for our boys, say no more no less.

No but Pigs have no class and I am afraid your showing that neither have you.

I really don't understand people round here sometimes.

Do you not find the OP patronising in any kind of way?

"Oh look at us, we're a proper big club, we're at home and you're only in league 1. We're gonna hammer you. We had 25 shots against Sunderland (who's relevance to us I see as been that they play in red and white stripes although they played in blue so in fact, I see no relevance whatsoever). It's gonna be a fantastic night at White Hart Lane, we'll not even sing until we score a penalty"

I'm firmly in a smug camp tonight. As said above. Embarrassing performance by Tottenham tonight.

No but if they were taxing brains I would suggest you apply for a rebate.

Its the Bladesway.

Ah, I suddenly get it, Bladesway, of course.:D But I'm not sure I can remember such a classy, controlled game for many years. Clough has got something going here but it doesn't work in League 1, that's the problem. What's wrong with football, there's no justice!!

Surely, if we play in the Play-Offs like that we are certs. Oh, I'm getting carried away, we need to score don't we!!!

We have done this in the cups since Villa. We have rarely been backs to the wall, we appear to be able to live with Premiership players, their movement, their pace and supposed better technical qualities, yet we struggle to live with Fleetwood who you would think we could take apart. You can put it down to tactics, you can put it down to players taking it more seriously but I actually think we are not too far away from getting it right but fine margins make all the difference. A couple of quality players and I think we will fly. Maybe not enough to get straight up this season but if we fail this season you would think we can hit our straps next.

Spurs could have played without a keeper, not that serious in a first leg. Thing is most opponents at Bramall Lane this past couple of months have hardly needed a keeper. 4-5-1 is a good system, but it has to be 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 very quickly once we have the ball, and it isn't. We need a No.10 and two wingers who are up there in a flash with the full backs filling in behind them. It never happens. Even in our second half assaults we rarely push up enough men and rarely get more than a couple in the box.

WWF Tonight is not the night for this sort of a conversation. Sometimes you have to savour the moment. I'm going to do that.

Embarrassed? I will never be embarrassed to be a Yid. Ever.

All credit to Sheff U. Did their jobs and limited us to half chances. I was glad to end with any sort of win!

Next week will be interesting!

Well played, fair result, no arguments.

If I were a Spurs fan I would be really cheesed of with the performance of a number of players tonight. Hey, our wage bill is around £4.5m in total. Some of those Spurs players out there tonight , I'll name them, Stromballi, Townsend, Mason, Erikson, Davies, Kane( in fairness he was out of position but did he get 6 touches on the ball in total) and the prize twat of them all - the captain. Let's estimate their wages at £30k per person on average per week - that adds up to £10m per annum and that's just 7 players. We pay 29 professionals out of our £4.5m. I think we may have got better value out of our lads tonight!!

Fair comment, but this is my "confused" bit.

No harm done, its just moments like this don't happen that often. We haven't even won but to glow with pride rather than seethe with frustration as a Blade is a rare thing.

No, I think you have an inferiority complex. Why the angst?

My guess is he hasn't managed to iron his John Holland logo off his home shirt yet, but it could be anyones guess. A wank to clear the tubes might sort it out.

What about McCabe???:p:p

Put the rod away WWF, I've just been out for a double scotch in the snow. You could bring KM to my door and I would pour him one and even invite you in if you wished. The spirit of Glenrothes special reserve does that to you :)

Cheers, I've had much more than that:):) Really good night. UTB.

BTW, you have provided 8 out of my last 10 alerts, Stop it!

My mate who's a Newcastle fan has just contacted me to congratulate our lads. It reminded me they played them in the last round and were lucky to get away with a 4-0 from memory!!

Here is a couple of stats for you

Spurs have scored in our last 26 consecutive home League Cup ties (ie, since Jan 1999)

Spurs have only lost (excluding penalty shoot-outs) 2 League Cup home ties since the 2001/2002 season.

Its all going to go horribly wrong!
Lucky, lucky boys to keep that record going. But for a dozy, stupid fucking mistake and that would not be the case.Good luck and see you next weak.

Some of them will be on a lot more than £30k a week. I bet their wage bill is 10x our overall turnover.

We never flatter to decieve in the cup , only in the league.

Shots on goal in one match means nothing in the next.

I wouyld only be worried about Spurs ,if Greaves , Gilzean , Chivers , Jennings , Blanchflower , were playing ,and they'd just signed Johnny Haynes , who wasn't cup tied.

UTB
Johnny Haynes? He only played for Fulham
