Went to the Hallam match yesterday, twas fucking freezin. Not for the nesh. A local derby with Dronfield Town FC. The game finished 4-1 to the Countrymen and young Jake Wright had a fine hat trick. His final goal was one absolute peach, if I may, a young Lineker would have been happy with it. He impressed to say the least. Needs to grow some, but evidently the rest is there. He's had a few at Hallam Ive heard and I know this season is probably too early, but if you are good enough ?

The club is treating this lad with contempt. He should be guaranteed a run in the first team until the end of the decade. If not, he should refuse to play for us ever again and join a Fourth Division team on loan. We have only ourselves to blame.

One of my friends plays for Clipstone (who are doing well in that league) he was raving about Jake Wright.

In the game Hallam beat them with Jake Wright scoring the winner, throughout the game Karl Colley (Clipstone Centre Half, ex blade youth) was trying to wind Wright up, he told Wright "you better be careful next time you get the ball because I'm going to break your legs" to which Wright replied "you will have to catch me first big lad" great response, I think many young lads would be intimidated by somebody like Colley a big aggressive centre half. And to finish it off supposedly the goal he scored was class.

Hopefully a good one for the future....

Karl Colley who even surprised Curtis Woodhouse when he did this last year as Goole's captain?

He was a top player when he was younger Colley, was on Newcastles books and Ours.

As I said quite an intimidating character.....both on and off the pitch from the looks of it.

I've only seen him once in the U21s at Leeds last season. He scored and there is definitely something about him. And that something is he looks to have an eye for goal. I believe he scores all types of goals as well.

Definitely one to watch out for.

Dominic Calvert Lewin scoring goals at Stalybridge as well.

Will these two develop ?

these two have a great chance to make it if they keep there heads down and keep performing like they are Calvert lewin
was my tip last season and he is progressing well he has tremendous all round ability and can play in numerous positions
i beleave he is playing centre forward for stalybridge and making and scoring goals they are both still only 17.

This lad, that night, today also apparently, was everything Mcnulty wasn't today. He is mobile, aggressive and always looks to be thinking about his next forward movement. If Mcnulty cant do it @ L1 lvl Im pretty damn sure this kid would show more, on today's evidence especially, saw nothing today to convince me otherwise. Mores the pity. :(

Another hat trick yesterday. Think he's got 12 in his last 6 matches.

Dominic Calvert Lewin got both of Staleybridge's goals again yesterday as well. Get them recalled :)

Yep. That's the level we are at. Two youngsters doing well about 4 levels below where our first team is at and they are the next big hope. Fuck me!

I have seen Jake Wright play a few times, scored some nice goals, hopefully one for the future
