Preston, Raul came within an inch of shitting himself at Preston when one of their yoof, a 14 year old with big ears and acne, asked him wtf he was looking at. Never seen his little legs move as quick, and the squeaking from his arse was nearly deafening.

We lost there in the 4th round in 2002. Nuddy gave us the lead but they came back to win. I have a vague recollection that one of their goals was a dodgy penalty by Graham Alexander.

Ah but since then didn't we beat them in the play offs...

Yes, but we drew 1-1 in the playoff game, and won at home. We have never won a playoff game away from home.

We have won in the league there since then.

This is our times then.... Stick us down for a 2-0 defeat :)

That was the day you were reduced to a gibbering wreck when I introduced you to a real live girl wasn't it? Other Preston memries include an apocalyptically wet day when judge and Rodders battled it out for the affections of of an attractive barmaid seeking to leave the town behind.

Indeed it was dodgy Rev. Blatant dive come fall with no intent on the defenders part.
Then PNE boss David Moyes claimed it was a "stonewaller" so was obviously destined for the Premier League with such bullshit.

It's a shit draw for me. I had a quick program scan last night and realised I've been to Deepdale 14 times since 68/69 and never seen us win, so I'm now even contemplating not going in order to give us the best possible chance!

Ha ha great day
Lovestruck

I'm hoping this is on the Sunday for some reason so I have a golden excuse for not going.

That is how not excited by this draw I am.

If it is on the Sunday, it will be exactly the same date (25th Jan) that we played them in the 4th round in 1936. We drew 0-0 and won the replay (the following Thursday) 2-0.

2002 apart, that's the only other time we've played Preston in the FA Cup and the last time we made it to the final.

Just saying.....

Im wondering if I should go this game as a trip to PNE for me is hardly ever straight forward, its just one of those grounds where something untoward ususally happens to me

Always like a trip to north end , nice steak and kidney pies
