I was there, the night Chris Basham did the Maradona turn....

We had 10/15 minutes in the first half with such a swagger, absolutely loved Bash's turn... He also took it to the byline and put in a decent cross.

The cheeky back-heel in the the build up to Reedy's shot just over from Cuvelier was class too :D

And the Blades absolutely smashed a Premier League team from start to finish.

Great atmosphere, wicked performance and a night that will live long in the memory.

He embarrassed them good style and he is the last player you would expect to pull off a move like that.

Top lad.

After a couple of games I described Bash as a non-footballer on what we had seen so far. My word, as a centre-back he is superb. Tonight was as good a performance as I have seen from a centre-back for a long time. He defended superbly, winning headers, tackles and blocks all night. He then showed his comfort on the ball (memorably on one occasion!) bringing it out of defence and getting us moving forward. He looked very much at home against "Premier" oppositipn.

So, top marks mate. I hearby declare you a proper footballer and baptise you in the name of....

Bashenbauer.

There can be no higher praise.

Yep I was at Swindon and his performance was atrocious. But now, in defence, he is looking a star. Couldn't believe what I was seeing when he did the turn. Unreal.

Did not like him much at first either. Bit like early Coady. you seem to be making a habit of it though. Who was it last season?
Flippin love that Bashenbauer though. We have to develop a chant for that and him.
