Blade on Blade

Is is the worst thing about the whole Evans saga. Now, we always have a good debate, and argue a plenty, but it's usually about whether Hippo's any good, whether Hill could have cleared it with his non existent right foot, or occasionally the heavy worlds of politics/economics. The vast majority of these arguments are good natured, and well-meaning. Though we may disagree in football matters, we all want the same - a victory for the Red and White Wizards to celebrate at 5pm on Saturday.

This is a totally different dimension, however. It seems to be the whole world Vs United, but because it's a sensitive topic, even Blades fans themselves are divided. Unlike the Tevez case for example, where it was everyone against courtroom disgrace bitter Yorkshiremen, where we all stood behind the club and it's actions, some of us here are against the club, not with it. And it's resulting in some awful things.

On BM, one of my favourite posters Alfie seems to have imploded, and starting arguments with people left right and centre. On here it's a little more adult (oo-er), but the two sides are so entrenched in their beliefs and arguments that even amongst Blades it turns a little nasty.

And honestly, it's bleeding gut-wrenching. Sure, let's argue to death about alleged negative tactics, but getting personal about the Ched issue is awful to see. It's bound to result in a split in fan base, but let's not make the issue worse than it is.

We're all Blades aren't we??? It's shit enough as it is at the minute, no need to make it even more miserable.

As widely pointed out in other threads, one reason we now have Blade v Blade to the extent that we do is because the situation has been handled in the most cack-handed, myopic, and incompetent fashion by the club.

Anyone doubting that the celebration of a rapist on the terraces generates a wider, pernicious tolerance for rape, should read the threats posted against Ennis today. Can it get any worse ? Given the people handling it at Bramall Lane, probably.

Although i'm still clinging on to the "screw the mob rule" argument, I did initially have reservations that bringing Ched back would cause a civil war amongst blade fans.

It certainly can't go on like this - something is going to break, and soon.

It's a terrible shame and the people making the decisions at the club need to evaluate their decisions. As a blade on twitter put it "We concede 5 goals at Wembley, get a standing ovation and admiration from the footballing community.....7 months later we are the scum of the footballing community".

The worst part of this decision is that it has turned the club in on itself, and I don't care if it's Lionel Messi NO PLAYER is bigger than a football club. If we were flying high and 10 points clear at the top of the league would people want Ched back and the shit that comes with it? I highly doubt it.

I really don't think it's that bad. It will pass (and sooner, if the Blades actually start winning again). Just as home fans don't have pitched battles with away fans any more, I can't see Blades fans scrapping with each other - only the 'Are you looking at my bird?' type morons who would cause a ruck whatever.

I hope we soon see that the people who are fuelling the fire - Wednesdayites, Hatchett and yes, Radio Sheffield - eventually find something else to whinge about. So far, they're just stood on the sidelines, laughing.

Not following this on BM but on here I feel both sides are expressing their opinions without too much hassle and long may it continue.

One of the Blade vs Blade fights at Wembley was because Blade A was asleep and Blade B slapped him as he was passing. Bade A took exception and an almighty ruckus started.

You should try reading a few threads on BM regarding Ched.

Some posters making good points for either side are getting howled down and abused dreadfully by people with opposite opinions.

BM has always had its moments but I've never seen anything like what is going on over there at the moment.
