Home at last. Thank god for that. Plymouth would have been a long trip in December, assuming that we get past Crewe

Selfish I know but was hoping for an away game at argyle both draws since i'm at uni down in Plymouth, so close to one as well! Hoping for a win, but wouldn't mind a replay so I can try get ticket in the away end of home park

November and December are going to be expensive.

That's 7 games out of 8 at home

Crewe
Oldham
Notts
MK
Plymouth (hopefully)
Fleetwood - away
Southampton
Walsall

I can see the Crewe replay going to extra time and penalties. We don't need a long trip to Plymouth on top of that, the Southampton game and the Tnipot Trophy which we appear to be in the quarter final of after winning just a single game in that competition. Or was it two?

We might need to beat Crewe first

Remember the massive last season banging on about how they were going to beat us... Then they lost at home to Charlton

Fair point, seems to be a few getting ahead of themselves. We are better away than at home right now.

Northern quarter finals - which is actually the last 16. There are 48 teams in the competition, we got a bye in the first round and won in the round of 32.

I think people are getting ahead of themselves a little. If we even beat Crewe then Argyle will be tough opponents given their recent form and League Two isn't miles off League One in difficulty. I highly doubt that this will be easy by any stretch.

I don't think people are getting ahead of themselves in general,i just think they fancy their chances against Crewe and then hopefully Plymouth, both at home. Now if we start to worry and think these are going to be tough games we might aswell pack up now.If we can't seriously look at these possible two games as winnable then what's the flaming point.

Exactly correct - what I like about NC is that he and his team take every game as the most important - he plays what he considers to be his best team and gives the opponents due respect.

I saw us play Crewe on Saturday - we should have stuffed them and if we are as professional then we should again.

Same applies to Plymouth - we should, at home, have too much for either team.

The lad up front for Plymouth, Reid looked like a star in the making when he was at Rotherham, but then lost his way. Seems to have hit a bit of a rich vien of form at the moment for Argyle and will be interesting to see how he performs (presuming we get through).

Your right Wiz, though our record against lower division opponents hasn't been too impressive lately, Burton, York et al..

He seems to have faded a bit Ruben Reid although did well on loan for Plymouth last season.

Seems to have had ALOT of clubs either on loan or not and is only 26.

Look at the response on here for when other teams look down on us as an easy draw. We're doing just that now. Plymouth will be a tough game if we end up playing them at all.

It might be a tough game, but that shouldn't stop us thinking we have a very good chance at home against a team from a league lower,if of course, like you said,we get through against Crewe, and with all due respect i am very confident we can do so.

Or shall we shit our pants against mighty Crewe and mighty Plymouth, chuck the towel in and say fuck it,you can have it,we're not going to even toss up for it,just take it:rolleyes:

I am not saying we shouldn't be confident but some people think we've already made the 3rd round.
