can't speak for anyone else, that O's goal led a charmed life. Orient were very poor didn't appear to have much possession couldn't string two passes together but still managed 2 goals WTF !!

No matter how poor the opposition are - no team can do anything if they concede crap goals, and we GIFTED 2 crap goals to Orient today.

Very true, but if it had been the proverbial boxing match it would have been stopped after 60 mins, O's offered nothing. OK we f****d it up but if United continue to play good football the crowds will still turn up. Desperately need a striker, ad nauseum

Most people on here criticise the team after not even turning up to watch them and support them. So naturally many people are making it out as if we were abysmal today which indeed we weren't. For the most part we were on top without being amazing. Orient were extremely shite and I'm glad to hear nobody is saying they are in a false position. For maybe 25 minutes we WERE abysmal. However fthe fact that we are conceding to every shot on goal makes it seem like we are playing shit. The defence is to blame. McCarthy shouldn't have played and was atrocious I thought for the most part.

Another thing.... I am totally embarrassed by the chanting of "Super Ched" from sections of the crowd, fair enough if he was out playing football for us banging the goals in but he isn't at the moment. He is a rapist in prison. Let's at least chant his name if he is scoring for us and actually out of prison.

Maguire shouldn't have been sold, a replacement MUST have been bought, a striker should have been bought who is capable of scoring goals regularly, McNulty should have started, JCR should have started, Scougall and Murphy must be dropped as has Collins.... Overall very pissed off.

Orient posed no threat at all Howard nice bit of juggling for the first
Who's picking up the runners for the second?
Amateurish

we have a quality striker and he is called Mcnulty.

His finishing is excellent
his first touch is best in the club
his hold up play is very good.

Why does he not start? Yet another very strange managerial decision.

Murphy,Scougall and Baxter were poor ,JCR and Mcnulty should get a run in the side.

Scougall - just not playing well enough
Murrphy - did enough for me
Baxter - Clearly nor match fit - rusty and first touch was rubbish - a clear sign of bring a player back too quickly.

Will say it again - what is wrong with giving Mcnulty a fair crack of the whip - everyone else seems to have had this chance.

Murphy looked a lot sharper when Mcnulty and JCR came on.
Just an observation
I know it sounds like a witch hunt but Baxter is the problem ,play slows down with him and his lack of movement . First half he just kept occupying the same area as Murphy. He has great talent but I genuinely think he is a problem for us ,we seem to have to find a place for him because no one knows his position. We cant run our team around one players ability.

again, spot on - I am absolutely staggered that we played the false 9, with an UNFIT Baxter playing up top at home to effing Orient.

It worked last year, teams have sussed it out this season.

For me it's Baxter OR Scougall - not both

Of course, hugely disappointed with their equaliser but we'd mullered them second half and how we didnt get 5 is a mystery.
The Wallace miss is up there with the all time great misses of the century and the chances we created was a bright note for me.
Are we a team about to come good or one spluttering and farting into mediocrity? I'm still on the positive side of that question thus far, we have the players to to do the job if.....
Only disappointment today (other than equaliser) was Scougall, who flatters to deceive this season.

Good post he's very unsure about getting in forward positions he doesn't bring others into play very much an individual .

Where do we play him?

We did. Played very well against a team who set themselves up not to be broke down. Today we reminded me of an Arsenal side (wait till I explain)... In that, we carried on plugging away trying to play the same way. Many teams panic and start lumping it forward, we don't have players to do that.

Orient had two shots according to BBC.. Clinical

Karl Robinson commented that if Blades could play like that 2nd half for the rest of the season, we'll win league.

Also, said it was a penalty. I've not seen a replay of it so can't say. But it looked like JCR fell

They came for a point. Two shots on target two goals. Gutted with their second but had the score remained 2-1, everyone would be happy.

You guys, Fullwood and Sitwell, are far more tactics savvy than me but it seems that there's a great big gap, nay yawning gap, where a striker should be. Great football and possession moving across the pitch, Wallace and Baxter and the rest controlling and passing but there's no one in the middle. When JCR comes on, takes defenders apart and crosses we look effective. Perhaps McNulty is the answer ?

Do you know something , I was at the match sat in the BL Upper tier and I've no idea who scored today, who was it ? How embarrassing is that ?

Orient couldn't believe they got in front there's gifts and GIFTS!

In a warped sense I was entertained today

Sitwell, I got the tail end of that on Praise and Grumble on RS on the way home. They just had to be Pig fans. If the new presenter can't spot the signs what's he doing presenting a show on Sheffield football ?

Lane Ender. I know what you mean I was entertained as well, like a black comedy at the end. People were laughing around me after their equaliser

Im old school and like 4-4-2 with 2 strikers ,2 wingers and 2 in the middle of midfield. Doyle/Wallace in the middle ,JCR and Murphy/Flynn on the wing and McNulty/Higdon up top would surely win this league ,with Scougall/Baxter etc as impact players. But he must also get a settled back 4 pretty sharpish. Everyone is screaming for a striker but the defence must take priority for me at the moment.

yes to Mcnulty and as for embarrassing - think that comment can be afforded to our defenders.

We seem to have a massive problem here.

he also said that we were far too deep until they scored then we pushed up the pitch and overran them BUT as soon as we got ahead retreated too far down the pitch again

JCR fell all right, largely because their defender legged him over. As obvious a penalty as you'll ever see, and how both the ref and the lino missed it is beyond me.

Not warped at all, LE. Walking out, I couldn't believe the grumbling - FFS, ten minutes earlier, we were losing! But that's football - conceding a late equaliser seems like losing. Unlike most, I thought Orient played to their strengths (third off bottom, but haven't lost away all season).

It's the no-shows in the first half that are killing us. NC has built up a huge well of goodwill after the last 3 months of last season but, must admit, both his team selections and motivational skills are baffling me.

Not a bad game at all. Other highlights for me? Kenny Jackett (Wolves) and Dichov (Donnie) were in the director's box, so expect a bid (Scougs? Baxter?) soon. Also there were Deane & Agana - still looking top-notch (unlike a lot of other ex-players).
