To try and condense Mr Bruce's career to one game against the very best strike force that world football had to offer at the time is a bit of a disservice.

I am sure young Harry will benefit more from an ex pro like that than most would give credit.

Good luck Harry!
I'm not condensing it into one game, all I'm saying is they were good in the PL against long balls and strikers that wanted a battle. But when put up against proper footballers they got shown up for what they were, big lumps who could head the ball and push people about. A bit like a poor mans John terry.

For his departure from United, read "Fit and Proper" as I said.

For his depature from the other clubs, yes, he looks like a quitter, but so what?

Indeed. Some may not have a problem with it.

I see it as an untrustworthy character flaw in a general slimeball see you next tuesday. Each to their own, I wouldn't want him anywhere near Sheffield United again.

i was planning on carrying this on but I can't be arsed to continue the facade.

Bruce is a twat always has been and Maguire made his bed so he can fucking lay in it.

I have no problem with what Bruce says. If United wanted Maguire to play for them, that could have been achieved by not selling him.

And if people dislike Bruce because of him leaving us in 1999, they should read "Fit and Proper". If the version of events in there is true, I do not blame Bruce for leaving. He was made various promises by the board, and they were not kept.
I can't see anybody who has mentioned him leaving in 1999,is that fit and proper enough?:)
