Wilders post match interview

With hindsight his starting 11 although totally understandable given the result last week. We started slowly and ponderously which Wilder alluded to hence my reasoning that it was a reasonable interview.
His interview however, almost suggested it was a one off. This shit has been happening for 2 or 3 seasons.

He’s absolutely livid the fanbase no longer thinks the sun shines out of his arse. Getting in the arguments with fans as well now.

It’s going to get a lot worse before the end of the season, hopefully we’ve built enough of a buffer to keep clear of trouble.

To be fair, he said he agreed with the fan having a pop at him.

What else could he say? We all saw it. Praising him for stating the bleeding obvious. 🙄 Only on S2. He should have replaced Arblaster and BBD at half time 60 minute or so subs aren’t forced on him. Neither was involved enough to deserve to come out for the second half. Peck and Donovan are far better choices. As we saw.
Think we all thought the same mate, I'll say it and i know I will get some stick from the bladey blades, Wilders finished as a manager. Today was as bad as it gets regarding his decisions, please chris pack the fckr up !

Which part of his first half assessment did you disagree with and why?
He commented on the whole game not just the first half. But he talks in riddles, mentions ‘situations’ in every interview, without explaining what he is talking about. He said that bbd and Chong had contributed to the good performances in the last 3 games so he couldn’t drop them, why not? Neither were very effective, with bbd being particularly bad. He said we were getting on top prior to the sending off, really? He had watched 75 minutes of a v poor performances and did not make the substantive changes that were needed, which were too late. I find his game assessments vague and his responses to what is happening on the pitch too late.
Man City took Marc Guehi off at HT today because he was poor, but CW made no changes when 9 players were poor.

I’d wouldn’t play him wide full stop ., when he played under Hecky as a CF in a shit team in the PL he scored 6 in 14 .
Hate him as a wide player looks a fish out of water .. if Bamford’s out I’d give One a start ., failing that give Diaz a pop dosn the middle again
Going to be the actually guy but Hecky had gone by the time BBD joined us and he was signed by Wilder.

I mean he is kind of right – if Chong had been dropped plenty of fans would have asked why BBD is in ahead of Chong, and if BBD had been dropped a good number would have said he offers more than Chong.
No one I know would bat an eyelid if he played one over the other, it’s unfortunate one of them has to feature.

As you say, we’ve got a young winger with pace who has the potential to get better and better as he gets more game time.

On the interview - maybe I’ve got my anti-Blades anti-Wilder glasses on, but I thought we were utter shite in the 2nd half until the sending off.

Donovan and seriki right wing, McCallum and Burrows left wing. This is what we need and everyone apart from Wilder can see it. Stick BBD up top, he's a class finisher but it isn't 2020 anymore, he's no good on the wing these days. When the manager can't see what 30000 fans can see then it's time for him to go. Thanks for the memories Chrisseh but the likes of Oxford, Huddersfield and MK Dons are your level now. You're actively holding the club back by remaining in charge. The football was fucking garbage in your famous 92 point season and its now even worse. No identity, no passion, no plan.

22 goals in 37 games for blackburn playing down the middle....

Everytime we have had him on loan I have felt he is somewhat wasted on the wing.

Last two loan spells the numbers are still alright for assists and goals but he isn't a winger, certainly not in the system we play now.

Yep agree...get Donovan in the wing....

"If I'd left Ben out it'd be why have I left Ben out?" - don't think it would actually

"Rom made a difference but the whole team made a difference"

Think I'm finally done with him now and moseying on down towards the CW out camp.

If he'd left Diaz out I'd have been thinking finally, RIP van Wilder has emerged from his coma. As to some of the suggestions about playing him down the middle, why? Why should we make allowances and adjustments to accommodate a professional squad player who lost any value 3 or 4 years ago. He's fucking shite, terminate his loan and free up a spot for some fucker who can last longer than an hour and who might actually add something to the squad.

He'd made 4 of the allotted 5 subs by the 67th minute. Guehi was subbed as he was on a yellow and walking a tightrope. It's okay to have a pop at the manager for his mistakes but let's not make stuff up.

What like Chong was less effective than Arblaster or BBD?

Well, l suppose if thems the rules……

Steve Cooper? Been out of work a bit now, might be up for it? Didn't set the world on fire at Leicester or Bronby but did well at Swansea on a frees and loans only restriction, not to mention getting Forest off the bottom of the Champ to the PL?

It's catching. Now you're making stuff up. Show me where I've said he was less effective. I clearly said it could have been any 5 from 9. My choice would've been Chong and Cannon. Other than Phillips and Cooper none of our players were effective in the first half. Just to be clear, did you think Chong had a good first half?
