Arsenal, reigning Premier League Champions, joint top of the league so far this season humbled by a team who show intensity.
Well that's all well and good, but it's lucky for them that they don't have to face us in the next round of the Carabao cup.
I was quite looking forward to seeing the report saying 'Arsenal struggled to deal with the sideways, backwards, afraid to take anyone on, careless, hook it on, clueless hoofball shown by the hosts'

Seriously, the game continues to evolve, and successful teams/clubs evolve with it.
Passive, 'safe' controlling the game is (or was) for the select few who have the players to be able to football you to death.
As with the likes of Brighton, a great tactic or style of play is to go after teams.'Yeah, but if we do that, we'll get criticized if other teams pick us off'
Then do it properly, recruit properly, do something different. Overlapping centre halves anyone?
Look at Leeds too (4th) with their energy.
Spurs have great players but look where they are.
Don't tell me we don't have the players to least give it a go.
What we do need to do is stop trying to 'Man City' our way out of trouble with players we definitely don't have.

That's a great point.

Everyone tried to emulate the same style that Pep Guardiola deployed at Manchester City, as it was successful there, but they had some of the best ball playing centre halves in the business.

Apart from the elite clubs, there are very few centre halves with the skillset to exercise playing the Pep way are usually poor defensively, and over the last 4 or 5 seasons, I've seen teams come unstuck time and time again trying to play this style, usually when centre halves get pressed and shit the pot.

The worst exponents I saw of this were Russell Martins Swansea City when we thumped them 4-0 at home 4 or 5 seasons ago
