You know who you are...

Look at yourselves, look how you are acting. Trying to reclaim lightning in a bottle that we once had, thinking it will all turn around based on nothing but delusion and former glories.

Do you believe everything he says? Are you not in the slightest bit concerned about the results of what's on the pitch day in day out?

He says nothing but bullshit, it'll be another great interview post match today and the performance will be back to normal after the intl break. He says all the right things to get impressionable people back onside, then nothing on the pitch changes.

You look and sound completely stupid. Just like the pigs. The sad thing is you can't see it.

Admit it, he's done. Who he once was is gone.

What’s always puzzled me is the fact we didn’t bring Knill back when we reinstated Wilder. (Unless we did try and it was something I totally missed 🤔). Knill was the brains and tactical know how in Wilders glory days with us, and doesnt it half show now. Infuriating today 😡

He did come back but was let go in the summer.

The football was shite with him still here last season.

I joked a few weeks ago that he hasn't quite fully morphed into the new Nigel Adkins yet.

Now I think he actually has.

Had some success a few years ago and battled his way from League One to the Premier League against the odds.

Currently a shadow of the man he once was.
Seriously what happened to him? Wilder mk 1 would be furious at this display, yet this version seems totally comfortable with it

I think this actually works for both sides. Those thinking a new manager will somehow turn this around with this squad, working with no money whatsoever, and under this clueless board, are in for a shock when it happens (again).
Oh well at least they hopefully wouldn’t leave our best player on the bench until the 88th minute

The irony of the OP is that it is the "we should be doing miles better lot" that are on the deludenum like our neighbours. Football players win and lose football matches. Ours aren't very good. Therein lies a wee problem. The other irony is that they're a cult obsessed with the bloke just like the pigs. Maybe more so..

The difference is even worse now. We were better when they were both here imo (results wise especially). It’s not just the way we play, it’s everything. Line ups, substitutions, tactics (especially when we take a lead in games), EVERYTHING.

Not miles better. Entertaining the fans Might be a start.

If a new manager comes in now he has to work with the same ridiculous squad and he'll probably be cooked by January before he can even sign his own players

We will get the results to stay out of trouble with Wilder, by hook or crook

The fans are simply going to have to stick it out and accept it's a very dour season

Summer is the time to make the change

I think we (the majority of fans) and the owners are petrified of life without him.

I think it’s time to start to consider life without Wilder, but it has to be the right man.

I don’t know who that person is, I wouldn’t say my football knowledge is strong enough to throw names out…but you see Hull, Sunderland, Coventry they’ve all had managers that have helped them move on from being pretty stale and brought excitement back to their clubs.

Stoke were bang average today, they were there for the taking & Wilder get of jail free card is both goals were worldies and one was offside

No money whatsoever is a stretch.

Do you think we are paying the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Hamza Choudhury and Matt Doherty in magic beans?

These players absolutely SHOULD be doing better than they are, tactics are absolutely non existent. Fluked a goal today and shit ourselves. Closed up shop. What do we do? What’s our identity? We aren’t possession based, don’t look good defensively, can’t create. We aren’t really direct we just lump the channels. We change formation and players every single week. That 11 today was a league one team all day of the week, Cooper aside. And that’s where we’re heading! WILDER OUT UTB

FFS 🤦 if this is how our fans and owners think we are well and truly cooked.

January won't make a difference the owner wants frees and loans and sell the odds player. Why would te owners buy they have sat on the fence for the last 2 windows

Yeah then he can plan for the season opener...at Bromley.

My issue is much less about his tactics but the big big concern is his complete ineptitude in the transfer market. Quite frankly no manager would make this squad play good football, or be usccessful, but the horse has bolted due to giving Wilder so much power in the transfer market. His eye for a player is genuinely atrocious which is going to cripple us for a good while.

Unfortunately, this squad is beyond saving at this point, so sacking him will have no effect. ffs

We should probably look for a manager that can work on a budget and has some sort of tactical nous. It would be a great improvement

Well, exactly - if a new manager couldn't even use January then the current squad have the whole season to get him sacked and not just 3 months

The owners need to be using the time this season to plan and prepare properly - because change is needed throughout

First United game I’ve missed in years. Not interested until he goes. Utterly predictable and boring.
Also didn't watch it but only because I've lost so much interest in this club I didn't even realise we were the early kick off.

I am seriously contemplating not going back until wilder is gone I'm that disillusioned with it all. I had to drag myself to the wolves game last week and I have even less motivation for Lincoln next month.

If he stays for the season I can't see myself going to more than 15 home games and I've already done 4 of them!

You never know a new manager might actually play around people’s strengths and not play people out of position.

Wild theory I know.

But couldn’t agree more with your first point, he’s more interested in if they will want to go to the boozer with him than if they can play football or even run.

Is it worse though or are we just now seeing the full extent of his decline now the better players have gone.

O’Hare, Brooks, Hamer made up something like 70% of our creativity last season.

He used to be known for getting a tune out of players and getting them to push on to that next level. He’s lost that ability and he’s making a very average squad look well below average without the good players to create match winning moments out of nothing.

I thought we were poor on the ball and Phillips, Arblaster and Peck need to do better in that respect. It's hard to sustain attacks and get your wing backs forward when you can't keep the ball. Our Wingbacks aren't good enough in a forward capacity anyway meaning we lack width, but I'd have to counter that slightly by saying all five battled manfully out of possession. Our pressing structure was good and they resorted to going long or turning the ball over a lot of the time as a result of this. Stoke are flying and they created little, penetrated on zero occasions, and won the game via two worldies (one offside). They had another long range shot that was a fairly comfortable safe for Cooper. They did have more set pieces than us, especially corners.

RND put an excellent cross in for Bamford, actually, who made a mess of it. He had to chest and shoot or chest to BBD for a simple finish.

Peck had two decent chances.

Cannon had a decent opportunity to kill the game at 2-0.

Free kick goal.

I think motm contenders for us were Baptiste, Tanganga, Kitching or Choudhury.

The two big decisions the officials got wrong: second yellow for Bocat for a nasty foul from behind on Phillips, and the offside goal. Second yellow was somewhere between 60-70 minutes.

Formation wise I think we look better 3-5-2 but it's a struggle to get Donavon in that shape. Burrows and Seriki should help a 3-5-2.

It's a struggle to get Donovan in that shape, but he'll bring Ayew and Shackleton on 🤣 your glorious leader is a clown

I remember Bassett and wilder MK1 have an impact. May not be until next season, depending which League we're in, but a new manager can instill in decent players a better way of playing.

I'm half empty but no reason to think a change results in an Adams season, regardless we need change desperately.
