He is talking a bit like he did when he took over last season. Difference is this time round he has had a full pre-season to work with the players, shifted a couple of players out and yet he bemoans fitness and maybe the formation needs to change.

You wonder what he actually does in the week.

I know the reality is it’s probably not ALL on wilder but the last minute of that interview was essentially what everyone was complaining about all summer.

Why didn’t he do more over the window to address the fact we have no creativity in the squad. No match winners off the bench at all.

He can be frustrated at the justified question but HIS priorities were all defensive even after selling all our attacking output.

Why are we in for another right back and defender on deadline day and not after someone on loan who can create something? Wilder is going to have to own the fact his priorities were in the wrong areas and he’s left us woefully weakened and unable to respond when we’re aren’t winning - which given we can’t make it 10 minutes at the start of the game without conceding atm is going to be very frequent.

Season is going to be over from anything other than a trying to stay up POV before players are back who might actually help us.

I swear to god I hope he isn't pinning it on O'Hare being sold last minute. O'Hare wasn't anywhere near as creative as Hamer and we still needed attacking players before he left.

I’d add to this that he’s over prioritised with ineffective and unfit players.

To say we have no attacking options now implies we’re heavy on defence. Shipping 5 at home in 2 games suggests this isn’t the case.

It’s not even a bad day at the office, it could’ve easily been this score line v Bolton. I thought he said the players were “buzzing” after that? Is going 1 goal down really all it takes to sap our team of effort, as that second half showed?

No effort + no enthusiasm + tired players = one way traffic.

If it wasn't for Cooper making two or three excellent saves in each of the last three games our position would be looking dire.

Keep in mind there are only about 4 players at the club that he didn’t sign last summer. 95% of this squad are his players. Plus Chong and Tanganga are players he would likely sign.

His excuses are weak and anyone who buys that bullshit on fitness then I’ve got some non melting ice cubes to sell you.
