Could he be COH replacement? I get he's not playing like he did and it's a big ask. But......does he have the makings of a 10?
Out of our current midfielders, I think he’s the most well equipped when he’s fully fit and match sharp. He’s happy receiving the ball under pressure and is quick to spot a pass. He’d need to develop the ability to get in behind at the right time and be confident enough to take responsibility and shoot.
I’d say he definitely has it in him.

End of the day we have enough players.

It’s not like we’re down to the bare bones.

It’s down to Wilder to get a formation with what is left, especially when the International Break arrives.

He is going to get people’s backs up if he tries too much to make the players bend to the formation. If he doesn’t get a 10, if that’s what he really wants, then he needs to bin off this formation and pick one which suits the players.

4-3-3 or 5-3-2 gives you that midfield 3 without needing a 10. 4-4-2 you don’t need one. Only issue with 5-3-2 is that Seriki being injured impacts the effectiveness. It’s a shame Drameh was only made available today. But I suppose at some point you simply have to pull the trigger.

Surely it's got to be 4-3-3. It's the only way we can fit in both BBD and Donovan. Take either of them out and I'm not seeing any attacking threat.

Not a bad shout but you'd question whether he had the energy to lead the press for the entire game, given it's not his natural position.

It's a position that demands a lot of energy in games, O'Hare was so good at it because he never seemed to tire and was always pressing when he could.

It's the same with Rothwell, he's got an eye for a pass and he's not shy of shooting, but he hasn't got the energy to do the rest of it.

Im not sure if its a case of play arblaster further forward or more of a case where we have to have get more attacking output from the likes of peck and arblaster (and anyone else for that matter but I feel they're the most likely)

...But im still waiting for a big-money number 10 signing!
(Haha, thats a joke by the way- loan signing at best!)

It would be interesting to get Zach Giggs involved a bit more, I know he is usually more defensive but the goals that he set-up for vs West Ham U21's were brilliant passes into where they needed to be. Plus he played in the 10 shirt in that match. It's difficult to see the gap between the U21's and 1st team but Giggs had good ball control, looked to get forward with confidence and played in some brilliant passes and overall looked like he had spatial awareness
