I think that’s quite encouraging. The perception on here has been that he had a poor season at Derby but it seems from the comments to have been a poor first half and a much better second half. We all saw what he was capable of in his first (Premier League) spell. Let’s hope he hits the ground running.

He hit the ground hard last time he was here, neshed tackles when he was last brought on after on being on the pitch for 5 minutes. Let's hope he's left that at Derby.

Very mixed views, but we do know that if we play him in his preferred position (which we will now Gus has gone) and when of form, he's a quality player at this level.

Does anyone know if we've ever loaned the same player 3 times? Not to my knowledge. Dean Henderson and McAtee twice.
There can't be that many players we've signed 3 times. I can only think of Deano.

Brian Deane 3 spells. Definitely the best ever player for us in my time. He was two footed, quick in his earlier years, direct, superb in the air, strong and athletic as well as skillful. James Beattie probably the second best after Deane in my view. He had two spells.

i dont blame them. anything to get an advantage. we sort of guilt tripped billy sharp. he couldve joined any championship club. but he only came to league 1 because he's a blade.
