Abdul Abdulmalik

If his value is likely to be +EV in the future compared to whatever his price is valued at the moment, then regardless if we have money available or not we should be pulling the trigger

You say that TJ, but if you believe what is coming out of Wilder’s mouth, we have left a few million on the table incase Leicester blink first and approves the Souttar deal. I like Souttar, but with the backline performing well recently and with hopefully the introduction of Webster, I’d rather the club now invest the money in someone like Abdulmalik for around £2-3mill in the hope that he can become a top player when his value will only increase.
Don't know what to believe mate, one minute we've got a bid on the table for Souttar, next time hes says no perms! I do agree with you though about investing in young talent.

Their chairman has made a, shall we say, interesting post in relation to this on X. Which the hyperbolic agent haters will no doubt lap up

Just to recap, has there been the faintest suggestion we are linked with him?

Be careful 🪨 🪨
Zero, unfortunately.

Looks like he's off to the swedish side if anywhere.
Fee seems to be agreed, but add-ons are what's being disputed.
Player is desperate for the move (can understand why, he's far too good to stay in national league).

As someone who hasn’t seen much of him, if he’s that good why is he going to Sweden when there’s plenty of league clubs here who could take a look at him? Genuine question.

Its sensible from the player and agent. He will get a fair bit more in wage and bonuses! That league is not the best so if he does well, then his next transfer will be roughly 3/4 million. So he will eventually get a lot of money just in signing bonuses!

Its a bit of a side-way step but guaranteed more money effectively.

From what's been in the media, they seem the most keen on him.
I'm not sure why a champtionship team hasn't taken a punt on him to be honest.

I watched him a few times last season and he just looked so out of place.
Just went past players with ease.

Djurgardens were knocked out in the semi finals of the europa conference league last season.
Although they aren't in europe this season.

I imagine if he goes there, has a good year or two, they'll make a profit.

The fee when he goes, will be a record for a national league club (they've already rejected what would be a record sum).

Not one jot B56.

The usual thing has happened when the transfer window is open in that someone has posted his name and lots of people who have never seen him play get their knickers in a twist when we don't sign him as we lack "ambishun"!

I've not seen him play so can't comment on whether he's any good or not but anyone genuinely wanting to spend 3 or 4 million quid, when money's tight, on a conference player genuinely needs their bumps feeling IMHO.

Weirdly hardly anyone was raving about him even when he was in the youth set up...see more posts about Louie marsh!
I watched a lot of the U23's then. Over the time when Arblaster, Brooks, Peck, Seriki and N'Diaye were around I always enjoyed watching Marsh more - always thought he was the better player and would have more chance of success. Marsh is still a good footballer.

With Marsh he’s just been robbed of that senior exposure because of untimely injuries. Look at Vardy. He didn’t break through until much later. Even if it is lower down, he needs a full season with Barnsley or Rotherham and see how he goes. Once he’s used to the rigours of men’s football then perhaps we’ll see if his ability will kick him on or if he can’t quite put it all together. It isn’t a rush to push him out though.
