why?? who are we trying to impress??
the clown who came on sounded idiotic , wed won and he was ranting over not anhialating what he saw as a grossly uinferior team , which they arent , its not trying to impress , its damage limitation , we sound like a bunch of know nothing whingers, came across as arrogant aloof and demeaning to the opposition

apart from the 3 clear ones we created in the second half plus the goal. I know that isn't many but certainly more than you are claiming
Baxter created his own chance and credit to him as no one else was going to. yeah 3 chances against Crawley @ home..... wonderful - promotion here we come ....

just watched 300 million pounds worth of man utd look fecking dreadful on sky
Id be really pissed if we had spent that much , they had less chances than our 4
we really are too critical of a new squad put together on a

Let's not have the league rules smokescreen put over our eyes though. If the owners want to put money in, nothing is stopping them.

I Agree with your assertion that we can't expect too much from our squad, assembled on a budget - but that's because there's no money, and that's the worrying part.

UTB

"Question: did you then spend the second half thanking McCabe for assembling Murphy, Davies, Alcock and Baxter into the same team?"

Not really, at least 4 seasons in the third division would stop me from doing that. If he was to show any real ambition in getting us out of this division I might start thinking about it.

I've said the same on another thread. Despite being poor, we created 4 glorious chances in the second half: Baxter's wonderful goal, Baxter narrowly wide after Flynny slipped him through on the left and both Higdon and Davies should have scored from about 10 yards or so from very good pullbacks from wide.

What the hell was that? a 3rd div football match..................which we won. More wins like that and we may eventually scrape our way out of this shat league and be talking about more positive things like beating the Fowls.

If Baxter continues pushing him self and not allowing himself to feel comfortable he will be out leading scorer this season. I wouldn't be surprised with Hidgon's current form if we saw Baxter as the lone striker with Scougall back in the hole.

Agree with the majority of the comments but Saturday was truly awful, at least it was slightly better than Coventry though, we are heading in the right direction albeit at a slow pace.

I can't see us playing this bad all season every team has a rough patch and what better time to get it out of our systems than at the start. Clough is clearly a very disciplined manager he will know there were a lot of negatives from Saturdays performance and he won’t allow the players rest on their laurels.

To say how shit wev'e been,i'm ecstatic at the 6 points we have.

We have played both P'boro and B. City who will both be challenging in and around the playoffs atleast.Coventry have the lethal Miller:D and Crawley won 2 out of their first 3 before us,so all is not lost by any means.
