Wilder's just suggested Gus wants to leave and there's no contract negotiations between us and him. Owners are considering a bid from Coventry and Gus has been speaking with Lampard.

We don't - so stop worrying about that aspect.I Hear you my issue is how much of the £5m would be reinvested in new players. Hamer goes how do we replace with better or on par?
I think that’s the aspiration for several clubs but my question is - what happens when it doesn’t work out and what are we doing to change our luck?I think the plan from the prince and now the new owners is getting to the PL to attract new investors or a sale.
Which in both instances mean more cash injections and potentially more infrastructure improvements too. Gotta get there first and stay.
I'm not saying I want us to be like a Wrexham with their TV stuff. But you look at what they've done actually on the pitch and improvements to their facilities and it's incredibly fast.
But to not be punished by the spending rules they are managing to get some good investors in there on top of the main two.
It's not the only way to do it but can we take any ideas off them? Not a TV show that's not what I mean but more so investments?
But then again the exposure on Disney is probably one reason they get these investors....
Coventry are throwing us a £ lifeline if they give us money for him.Whilst we need a winger to create and get beyond people, Hamer is the only player currently on our books who can see things and create chances and space with a long pass.
And we just keep on doing it ,Coventry are throwing us a £ lifeline if they give us money for him.
No other club would , not at this stage of his contract.
He's yet another substantial investment which will pay us feckin ZERO at the end of his contract ,
Unless Coventry save our bacon.
Brewster
Mousset
McBurnie
Invest £50m , you may not get all your money back ,
In fact , you may as well set fire to it

But Chris. It seems the better players, you know, the ones with a bit of flair and skill, don’t want to play for you.
Or 67 Jones and BirchenallYou should have been here in 97 ...
Deane & fjortoft .....
Not much is going to eclipse that![]()
Because, as successful as he was, he's become a tactical dinosaur and we don't utilise those sorts of players to their full potentialBut Chris. It seems the better players, you know, the ones with a bit of flair and skill, don’t want to play for you.
Maybe we replace with different, as opposed to better or the same?I Hear you my issue is how much of the £5m would be reinvested in new players. Hamer goes how do we replace with better or on par?
How do we replace Hamer though? We already need cover on the LW, we would then need cover and a starterHamer money = Souttar money. The quicker they both get done the better.
Then we have 3 more loan spaces to fill? At the end of the window there might be some smaller deals in and out too.
I think that is the best I am hoping for now.

BBD? A random prem youth?
Smacks of the Ndiaye and Berge sales close to the start of the prem season this
Well at least we had a few glory yearsIt'll be BBD, and Wilder will be singing his name from the rooftops as if we'd just signed Yamal
I'm sure Gus would want to leave whoever the manager was, he's too good for us and is in a position to pick up one more big contract before he retires. Why would he sign a new contract at a club that looks like midtable fodder? But Chris. It seems the better players, you know, the ones with a bit of flair and skill, don’t want to play for you.
Indeed in terms of selling 3 of our best players for less than their worth. We seem to continually make a rod for our back.
Arguably our 3 best players of the last 5 years have left for relative peanuts as we’ve allowed their contracts to run down to less than a year, selling them all on the dawn of a new season with no replacements in place.
This pre-season really has been pretty similar to the dreadful one we had before our last PL embarrassment.
How do you get players to sign contracts when they don't want to? It happens to far bigger clubs than United. We seem to continually make a rod for our back.

I've just watched it and it might be the most depressing press conference I've seen since Budd Dwyer pulled a gun out and shot himself
Can I just ask - when he gets sacked, what's next for him? Because since his first successful spell here, he hasn't achieved anything here or anywhere else? That press conference reeks of a man whose finding out the truth about himself.
Is it only on SUTV or can I watch it elsewhere?I've just watched it and it might be the most depressing press conference I've seen since Budd Dwyer pulled a gun out and shot himself
Paid £15m for him, everyone expecting us to get £10m. He's at least halved in value, £5m at bestIt still needs to the be the right price.

BBD as Hamer replacement would be very underwhelming to say the least. His first stint seems like nothing more than a purple patch in retrospect and his second stint was completely forgettable.
