Probably good for him - might get a decent salary bump and a season of premier league football before they come back down. If it funds Souttar and an attacking left winger I'm reasonably happy.

You add Souttar to the current squad, get Hamer on a new deal and maybe sign BBD, as was all mentioned above by SUFC Guy and then push on offloading the likes of McGuinness, Norrington-Davies etc and you enter with optimism.

They show no intent to support the manager and we’ll be letting Hamer go, welcoming McGuinness back into the squad and inviting last minute offers for Seriki and Peck.

I think for me, the frustration will be:

1. Their fans swarming us on social media, claiming to have got one over on us. But that will hopefully pass.

2. The likelihood that he will have more of an impact for us in this division than he would for them in that division.

3. Most importantly, I don't trust us to reinvest or recruit properly, at all.
