Pretty true. I posted pretty scathingly when this thread started.

It's ok to take a couple of punts if they fit financially AND we have a big enough squad to not be relying on punts.

I don't see Mantondo as the next Ravel Morrison, but there are similarities between signing Mantondo and the likes of Morrison but there's also David Mcgoldrick and he was 30 when we signed him. He's obviously fit now and he's got a very good pedigree.

We all know we desperately need pace and directness on the wings. Donovan/Chong and Mantondo on the other wing sounds very exciting to me. We've had Hamer on one wing who's bit a winger and everything on Brooks. Chong hopefully will be much better and fitter this season. He could be like a new signing.

Not sure rolling out Didzy when talking about supposed injury prone players past their peak is the way to go tbh.

He's the one example we got right.

You can't say every player who are injury prone and possibly past their peak will go wrong neither. There's always a gen out there, like Bamford being another who not many of our fans wanted. Bob Booker going further back was another example. But I see your point that we get a fair few wrong but they're not all the same neither.
