We’ve not really shown any desire to play O’Hare on the left so far, that would be my only reservation.

Coventry managed to accommodate them both centrally, so why not us?

It’s a great question, Cov played with Hamer alongside Sheaf in the middle with O’Hare in the ten and two flying wingers either side. Unfortunately we have neither the flying wingers or the trust in Hamer’s fitness/mobility/discipline to play in the 2. He played in the midfield 3 when he first signed and we were in that 352 but since going to 4-2-3-1 we’ve let him do what he wants and seems to have lost that ability to play centrally (based on how he played in those 5 games under Seles).

Given what we’ve got at front three of O’Hare, Hamer & Donovan behind Bamford should be good enough for the level, assuming they’re given the creative freedom they need and not just passing it in triangles. The really issue is depth. Take any of them out of the team and there’s massive drop in quality to Cannon, Campbell, Chong etc…

I’m not sure it’s around professionalism - if a banker was done for drink driving you wouldn’t say Lloyds need to get their house in order.
