Not sure how you view that. Two players with great potential can play for both, or we are seriously lacking players for the first team...

I'd guess it is to put development players into stressful situations.

2 assists for the former and a goal for the latter.

Pity but the fact they are involved at least allows them to make a compelling case. Look at Brooks who was going to be sent out on loan and Coutts who was going to be bombed out.

More than you can say for Norrington-Davies, who just seems to have been forgotten about.

Can anyone who went perhaps confirm how Buyabu and Curtis played and Ukaki and Nwanchukwu?

Ukaki was the most impressive. He's got a very good turn of pace and showed plenty of good close control on what is a difficult pitch.
Buyabu is a lot more developed physically and he likes to cut inside more.Tahir had a good game but it is hard to judge anyone against this level of opposition.

Would be good to see a 2 or 3 of these lads getting some game time for the 1st team off the bench this season. You have to give the best of them a chance at times when they are of the right age and physically developed enough, otherwise what is the point in having the U21s?

2 or 3 more to come in through the door transfer wise for the 1st team, and then pad the match day squad out with the best of the U21s with the aim to integrate them to getting on the pitch at first team games more and more as the season goes on. Obviously, they have to have that latent raw ability in them too. Needs to be a break out season for some now. Hope CW trusts the right ones enough.

Seems like recently we have preferred to just let their contracts run down with academy products. Thinking Hampson for example. was involved in last years preseason, then went out on loan and has left this summer.

Buyabu seemed to have a good loan at Forest Green last season, be interesting to see what happens this summer.
