I don’t subscribe to the Lundstram had ‘purple patch’ for us theory.
He had some good moments in some games, but that’s it.
He never had a great game in the way that TC or Iliman or Coutts or even COH has had a great game.
Generally he was anonymous and ineffective until he decided he’d had enough and then he became an utter liability.
Not so sure. In the the 19 games before his injury where he played pretty much all games and 90 mins we only lost 4, and he scored 3 & provided 1 or 2 assist?

His late runs into the box was causing all sorts of problems.

He was an effective part of the well oiled machine in the box to box role, he was no less than john fleck apart from he was adding goals to his game (although fleck was more consistent for longer).

Ultimately he had his head turned sulked and as everyone says down tools. Its 1 of the reasons we ran out of steam and didnt qualify or threatened the spots in the end. If 1 cog of the machine isnt working. Then it doesnt perform as efficiently.

Unnaceptable.. from any player. As a fanbase i feel we are a critical but fair bunch. Its really simple put effort in and you will be liked, respected down tools .. unnaceptable. I really dont want to see him back.

Completely agree and I also dont want to see him back either.

It was always a disappointment to hear when he was starting over Duffy in the promotion year. He then became a bit of a non blades cult figure because he scored a few and we kept clean sheets but he was listed as a defender on fantasy football.

Hes a serviceable championship squad player. Nothing more nothing less. I think we have enough of those.

That’s the only reason people think he was a success with us. He was listed as a defender in Fantasy Football, our defence that season was solid as a rock…but it was absolutely nothing to do with him. And his goals and assists added to his Fantasy Football tally, making him a cult everywhere except BDTBL.
He was average at best until the following season when we got relegated and he downed tools.

Lets not forget, Lundstram had been a complete non-entity. Until we arrived in the Prem and Wilder announced he was starting with a flat midfield 3 after Duffy's departure. The new addition being Lundstram and we were all utterly baffled.

Nothing in the championship, a brief period of being 'in form' for half a season, believed he had made it, downed tools, Rangers and Turkey.

His career has amounted to not a lot, in truth. Not a chance I'd have him back here.

Could this have been the issue with Prince and CoH? Hamer fee not paid in full before CoH took over the club in late 2024?
My cov mate says all payments have been made, there's apparently still a lot of their fans who still love to pile in on us.
He's actually honestly said he's not confident that fat Frank can cope with keeping them in the Premier League.

From what he reckons.
He's an ex Coventry player so still hears bits and pieces ( no I'm not saying his name !!) from people inside the club .
Apparently despite what we're hearing COH are looking to run the club on a firm financial footing and will not risk the club chasing stupid signings etc .
I've asked him about the PA issue and he's not heard anything negative but will ask a few discreet questions.
He's invited us to his villa on crete but with the wife's health issues it'll be long time before we fly .

It'd be unusual for United still to owe money on a player so deep into his contract. That is unless they've owed it for a long time.

We were docked points for this with 1 suspended incase we defaulted again.
COH have made a few mistakes ! Can't see them making another gaff with this!.
