Seriously, I’m not worried about the incoming season.

If our owners are struggling we have a squad with a market value of €106m.

Tanganga, Burrows, Seriki, Hamer, Peck, O’Hare, Cannon, Oné; all players that could be encashed at limited notice to raise sizeable funds if needed.

We have a basis of a very capable team even if we only supplant with loans. We can still say this even if we lose a couple of the above.

We have a competitive manager who is comfortable at the level and capable of building a strong, competitive team.

We have excellent home support and own all our own facilities.

The recent rumours suggest even if signings are minimal, they will be of a good quality.

When these two do come in (likely Donovan and Dobbin) it means we have coverage in midfield and attack already.

We’ll again be unfancied and below the radar and that suits us just fine.

We aren’t like Wednesday. We have assets and we have squad depth. I’m sure we can absorb any short term turbulence without it impacting the season.

Let’s look forward, eh? At least we don’t have to play against Argentina in the Championship!

There is no point making predictions until the transfer window is closed.

Everything was going to be alright all last season too....

We only covered trading losses last season with significant player sales. It’s not difficult to see that being needed again at some point. Then there’s the other business……..

Makes you wonder how much Wilder may have had to downgrade his player wants list.

We've currently got a decent mid table championship squad, even if a few big names gone. If the worst happens and we do go into admin there shouldn't be any issue selling a club that reported a profit in it's last financials, even if COH / Abdullah take a bath on the £105m.

Part of the blades cycle, we'll bumble around the middle of the championship for a couple of seasons before putting a decent team together at some point.

Reckon the owners are proper geezers. We’ve all made mistakes, we’ve all overly trusted AI, we’ve all forgotten to pay someone, we’ve all got back with an ex for the fun of it, we’ve all installed LED tv’s in our house, we’ve all changed our names at some point in our lives. It’s just the dance of this little thing called life.

Nope. Not done any of that. You clearly lead an exciting life.

Is “Geezer” just another term for Dodgy Chancer? We got our own DC.

If that’s what you’ve taken from my inane ramblings then please go outside.

Think we've got absolutely zero chance of going down and will either make or just miss out on the playoffs, just like every other season under Wilder. Iremember pre 92pts season we had about 10 senior players at one point and there was panicked talk of relegation. In the end we had a good, but drab at times and ultimately unsuccessful season.

It's standard Sheffield United. Not sure why our fanbase get surprised by stuff like this. We have always had owners that barely have 2 pennies to rub together or appear that way and the club has always lived hand to mouth.

We got a bit of a nosebleed first time around in the Premier League chucking 20 million about here and there on players.

Anyway if we start throwing a barrel of money around then it would mean changing the chant.

I am quite relaxed about it to be honest. Players are starting to come in and I expect we will strengthen the defence, which is currently our weakest area.

Whether or not we are good enough to push for promotion remains to be seen, but unless we do get hit with some sort of sanction, it's hard to take anyone who predicts a scrap at the wrong end of the table seriously.

The voice of reason and very well written.
You forgot to mention we only have to get to 8th place this season to enjoy our biannual defeat at Wembley ;).

UTB.

You started positively and finished on a negative! Try again !

Don't come on here with yer' real facts and reason.

We need to show ambishun, by spunking money. Lots of it.
Innit.
