Welcome home JLT!

In all seriousness, if he does return, for all his shortcomings at least he'll always put in a shift and give his all. The group of players we had last season were soft as shit, dropped so many points from winning positions and a lot of them don't seem to care. We all have our views of Robinson ability wise, but we desperately need personalities that won't stand for mediocrity.

The anticipation on here of people wanting us to fail is frightening.
I'd love to see us be successful but, all the evidence of recent years suggests that we can expect much the same as last year.

Happy to be proved wrong but I await something tangible in terms of change and tactics before I start to get my hopes up.

Can't wait to see what I'm supposed to like..
Is anyone else now picturing our recruitment team as the Even Better Than That! character from the Fast Show? The one who was sent out to the shops for basic but vital provisions and came cheerfully back with bizarre purchases completely unsuitable for the requirements...

Paul will have watched ..... Luc De Fougerolles play for Canada.....centre half on the left side 20 year old and attached to Fulham value £1m on TM.

TM have Andre Brooks valued at 3 million Euros in January of this year, £ 2.5 million.

Last years choices were made by a poker player using his ZX Spectrum to run his own AI model.
Most agree that last years recruitment was exceptionally poor.

Many were disappointed that using an AI model didn't transform us into a Brighton or Brentford, so possibly there is more to it than that.

Many also need fresh ammunition to aim at Wilder, so I expect to see any signings met with criticism from some quarters as was the case with Bamford.

But the ZX Spectrum wasn't involved in our poor fitness levels before it may have been delivered to BDTBL and plugged in to our recruiting and mangement systems.

Undoubtedly, last summer's recruitment was very poor, but that, too often, masks the weaknesses that were already in place in the previous season where we ran out of gas, ideas and bottle in too many games against the top teams, and again we repeated it at Wembley.

Genuinely intrigued to see who the signings are, where they fit and if squad fitness is addressed. It all needs to be in place if we aren't to be in another rinse and repeat, sub optimal season under Chris.

There's no serious rumor of him returning is there?! That ship has sailed, surely!?

Tom thanks it is so refreshing to have you talking sense, there are so many who just want to criticise which I wouldn't mind if the criticism was constructive
Just read Bramhall blades comment case in point

That’s Great Grandpa Jelly back in his optimistic phase

So poor that we got promotions in 2017 and 2019 also got a 9th place in the PL in 2020?
It’s now 2026. Those days are long gone. I’ve yet to understand who the hell he signed last year and if the signings were on his watch whether he ever had a say in it. For all I know the American Chuckle Brothers could be using Hoyland as their Director of Football and providing Wilder with dross on long contracts. If only some honest reputable journalist could get to the bottom of it.

For my part he’s still tainted by Brewster and Cannon when he spends big money. However now we ain’t got a barrel never mind the money it will be interesting to see what he can bring in. Hopefully bring some speed and creativity to the team.

Unfortunately if he was responsible for Rothwell and the apparent pursuit of Phillips at the expense of Jairo it feels like he’s not going for athleticism speed and creativity but just old heads willing to intimidate and put a foot in. Bring on the red cards.

Not expecting much. Hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Where does Sander Berge fit in the anti Wilder statistics?

£ 20+ million.

He was signed from Genk, hence also busting the myth that Wilder only signs 'Brexit' players.

Some facts are best forgotten though and replaced with 'social media facts' also known as myths or Chinese whispers.

I'm still laughing at the poster who said the reason Wilder sold Brooks was because Wilder doesn't like Christians.
So he fed him to the Canaries?
I would say that you couldn't possibly make it up, but on social media you could state that black is actually white and it would gain traction in some quarters.
It would be Wilders fault obviously for changing the colours.

They will tell you that Wilder did not want to sign Berge. Which isn't true.
