One will be Sykes, hes been training with us and is a free agent and plays a position that we are short in.

He definitely wouldn't excite the fans. One will be Sykes, hes been training with us and is a free agent and plays a position that we are short in.
Maybe but he can't be the exSYKESing one.One will be Sykes, hes been training with us and is a free agent and plays a position that we are short in.
Paul Walker, you can take your pick on which
You’d not take Seamus Coleman at Champ level?!? Would love to see him at the LaneDidn't Wilder say something like the fans will be excited ?
So that surely rules out.
Coleman
Lundstram
Souttar would excite the fans but Wilder also said they would play at Chesterfield so we can rule him out.
Walker would excite the fans.
Dobbin had good stats at Preston so I guess he would.
Allyene would
Of Course what Wilder thinks might excite the fans could be totally different to what actually would excite us.
So I'm going for Robinson and Lundstram.![]()
He's 38 in Oct and only played 5 games last season. You’d not take Seamus Coleman at Champ level?!? Would love to see him at the Lane![]()
Still an absolute quality player and man, there’s a reason Everton have offered him a coaching position. To have him in the squad would be invaluable. He's 38 in Oct and only played 5 games last season.
We could've signed others, our faultPlease no more Everton dross. They got Jagielka (on the cheap), Ndiaye (via Marseille) and Calvert Lewin for pennies. In exchange, we’ve had Mason Holgate, Tom Davies and Ben Godfrey.
Like with Luton, (Chong and McGuinness) we should never ever sign anyone from them ever again!
He’s a top bloke, but far too old to be expected to play 30 odd games. Youth is needed alongside experience, we’ve got enough older players.Still an absolute quality player and man, there’s a reason Everton have offered him a coaching position. To have him in the squad would be invaluable.
Personally, I think he’d be a very positive influence on the squad, and if he is fully over his hamstring injury from last season, a very good addition on the pitch also. He’s a top bloke, but far too old to be expected to play 30 odd games. Have you forgotten John Ebbrell? Please no more Everton dross. They got Jagielka (on the cheap), Ndiaye (via Marseille) and Calvert Lewin for pennies. In exchange, we’ve had Mason Holgate, Tom Davies and Ben Godfrey.

He’d be a great influence on the squad in terms of dressing room, but the trade off regards age and hamstring injury isn’t worth the risk imo. I’d rather we used the funds we’ve got on mid 20 year old players with room to grow and develop.Personally, I think he’d be a very positive influence on the squad, and if he is fully over his hamstring injury from last season, a very good addition on the pitch also.
All down to if the wages were reasonable of course. Player-coach? I’d take that. He’d be a great influence on the squad in terms of dressing room, but the trade off regards age and hamstring injury isn’t worth the risk imo. Loan, both we'll get in will likely be loans.
Possibly. Especially now the rain has gone.Wonder if one could be Reyes Clearly?
The fans will be excited, can only think it's going to be Carol Kirkwood!Didn't Wilder say something like the fans will be excited ?

You come on here having actually read the article, posting the actual quote.Wilder doesn’t say the fans will be excited nor that these players actually will play at Chesterfield…
“Yes, we're in for players,” Wilder told The Star. “We'll lose players and we'll get players. We’re excited about a couple of things that will happen over the next 24-48 hours, I hope. So, our supporters will see those players at Chesterfield.”
Almost as bad as " Dobbin galloping down the wing " .......Possibly. Especially now the rain has gone.
