With Knill gone and the board obviously now realising the limitations of the management team, plus the realism that there are numerous successful managers/coaches in the championship who are in their 30's, would not this be a great opportunity to wipe the slate clean by bringing in Phil Jones as manager with his own coaching staff and implementing tactics that the younger players adhere to?

Any incoming coach or assistant manager could be a succession to Wilder. In theory it isn't a bad idea. In fact it makes sense.

However I'm often of the mindset that if a manager isn't working it requires a fairly full change of at least manager, assistant and coach to make it enough of a change.

But that ain't the case up the pyramid. So I'm wrong maybe.

All of these young virile managers, how come 2 relegated from the prem clubs got back up, do really think with our lack of financial clout a young manager would get us close to the play offs,,, or do you want Selles 2.0. Theres 11 clubs got billionaire backing in the championship who get no where near promotiom , owls think theye are certs for the prem now , as they can afford to pay the wages on time, but its not that easy, stoke are a prime example
