Link?I've got a playlist with 150K followers.
I've just received an email from a company representing record labels who say they pay to add their artists into organically grown playlists.
Is this too good to be true or what ?
That is 100% something that legitimately happens regularly, but there’s also a lot of scammers claiming to do it.I've got a playlist with 150K followers.

I see the other end of it - constant messages and emails from outfits who want me to pay them to pitch my songs to playlist curators. That is 100% something that legitimately happens regularly, but there’s also a lot of scammers claiming to do it.
Worth googling the company who contacted you to see if there’s much info/reviews etc.
Also be very wary if they ask for access to your Spotify account, would recommend not giving anyone access to it at all. And if they ask you to pay to become a member or a deposit etc then it’s most likely a scam.
It may also be worth asking them for examples of what songs they’ll be asking you to add to it, if the songs they say are a similar genre, era, vibe, etc to what’s already on your playlist then that would be more likely to be legit as they’ve taken the time to search up relevant playlists. If the songs they suggest are completely different it’s more likely they’re just chancers/scammers reaching out to anyone/everyone with a decent amount of followers.
But as I said, there are legitimate companies who do this.
I get these too, but I haven’t yet released any original music so I just ignore them as I know they haven’t actually listened to or understood the type of content I post (always generic sounding emails which I assume are sent to anyone who has over a certain number of followers on Soundcloud)I see the other end of it - constant messages and emails from outfits who want me to pay them to pitch my songs to playlist curators.
Soundcloud is actually the only platform my stuff doesn’t go out on. The other one I get, currently about 5 a week, is people claiming to be choreographers wanting me to pay them to do a dance video for one of my tracks.I get these too, but I haven’t yet released any original music so I just ignore them as I know they haven’t actually listened to or understood the type of content I post (always generic sounding emails which I assume are sent to anyone who has over a certain number of followers on Soundcloud)
