I spent £150 to get to Wembley last season and all I got was depressed so by that logic this seems a much better bet.

In any case it pales in into insignificance compared to the £300 my bro has spent on tickets to watch Chongy at the World Cup.

Got tickets to watch Chongy againt Germany next Sunday, also.

I am thinking of booking these flights. The train from Brussels to Bochum early Saturday morning takes about 3 hours and is approx £45. Conveniently there is a change in Cologne so thinking of checking into the hotel on the way through to Bochum.

Looked at this myself last week (it was £66 then)…..think there was 3 train connections with short times….needs all of them to be on time or you’ve got problems

There are trains direct to Koln every 2 hours from Brussels. Then I presume regular trains to Bochum from there.

We are going from cologne to bochum. Trains very regular. About an hour.

Not booked yet but hoping to sort it early next week.

Due to the way we're getting there and possibly stopping off en route, we want to stop in Bochum rather than the bigger cities close by.

Talking to a couple of people I know who've been, they reckon Bochum is great for a couple of days mooching round and boozing.

Yeah it may not be as touristy as Cologne or Dusseldorf but that doesn't bother me. Just want to drink some good beer and mingle with fans.

I looked at trains from Brussels Charleroi to Bochum as Ryanair fly to this airport

I’d fly in Friday morning, spend the day and night in Brussels then travel to Bochum Saturday morning so I’d be in the centre of Brussels anyway.

I have just met a family of Bochum fans whilst out walking. (I know them). They told me about the game and asked if I was interested in going. I told them I was but I was unlikely to get a ticket in the Blades end as they would easily sell their 3000 allocation. They seemed shocked that so many would make the journey. They said they would get me a ticket in with them. I will try and sort a ticket from the Blades, if I can't, it's in with the Bochum fans I go. I will be driving as it's only 63 miles from me.

My sons fiancée lives in Brussels, I have driven there and back in one day on three occasions, so with a night stopover in Bochum it is easy to do the trip over two days.
