Bit of a blind one I know as we are pretty clueless as to who will be in the Starting XI as of yet but I thought I would start up a bit of a prediction thingy if anyone is interested. It's only for shit and giggles and some might find it pointless in which no probs you don't have to cast your prediction, no biggy!

Looking at this I might have a bash at Basham at 20/1 or Butler at 22/1.

I thought that too foxy. He is one of the players looking at pre season who I think Clough will definitely give a start to and I reckon he will be hungry for it as well. I think I will have a cheeky £5 on Basham and the same on Butler.

I'm exactly the same way. I haven't got a clue why? Hardly got the best scoring record if Wiki is to be believed 6 goals in 120 appearances . Not the nicest way to speak of one of your own players but I think he will find his level in this league when it comes to finding the back of the net. He's an experienced lad you could see that in glimpses pre season and I think he knows that he can be a big fish at the lane and a stand out player. I think he will have the bit between his teeth for us, I've said this a few times, I've put all my eggs in one basket and hope I don't end up with egg on my face. I guess it all depends on if he even starts as to whether he scores the first goal I personally think Cloughy will throw him in there, as well as this I guess it depends who he plays alongside in the middle as well as to whether he is asked to play with more defensive role of attacking the edge of the box which he can do comfortably.
