Should we demand compensation from the EFL?

They can all do it and in games where there’s a chance of penalties it happens all the time it’s not cheating
Exactly. The definitions are pretty clear from what i saw yesterday for the spying scandal. Writing pen taker info, unless its obtained via spying isn't in that definition

You don't need to sneak up on a team in private training behind closed doors to work out how players take penalties you can do that many other ways - Goalkeepers and goalkeeping coaches spend hours doing their homework without invading a private session

I'm not laughing.
Nor me - it's embarrassing where we now find ourselves after 2 stints in the PL and 7 years of good money.

The way we have wasted our "chance in a lifetime" resources , through crappy ownership & a sale to idiot yanks ,
Plus the worst and most expensive recruitment I've seen for years , is literally heartbreaking.
Like watching a slow-motion car crash in which your beloveds are badly hurt.

I'm 36 years old and I genuinely believe the 9th place we achieved in 2019-20 is the highest I'll ever see us finish in my lifetime.

Great times but very short-lived.

Then I refer you back to my previous question.
You’ve lost me, but there as never any evidence or suggestion of spying from our play off games

As far as I’m aware the only clubs in the EFL championship playoffs with any accusations against them have been Leeds under Bielsa and Southampton. Both have been dealt with under the rules at that time

Berge definitely had.

He scored in the penalty shootout at Burnley at the start of the 2020-21 season in the League Cup which we lost 5-4.

He then scored another penalty to put us 0-1 up at Anfield against Liverpool in the Premier League a month later.

Yeah, I realised that a couple of posts before your comment mate.
He dived the same way Berge scored against Liverpool, but Berge went the other way and scored
He dived the wrong way against Ndiaye who scored, so that would back up what ISZA ⚔️ was saying. Sorry mate.

Fyi it was Wilder that fucked it up.

The Forest goal keeper had info about our penalty takers from a spy.
No action taken, yet Boro have been handed a place in the final after effectively the same misdemeanour.
It's closed season, please don't ask me to just let it go ;)
He didn't have it from a spy.
He had it because they looked back at all the penalties we'd had that season and who took them, and what direction they kicked it.
That's just scouting.

Ah that's terrible mate , when you peak too early 🤣
I'm 68 and saw us in the top flight under Harris , Bassett , Warnock & Wilder.
I've hoped since 1971 that we'd become a top flight team.
After Tevez & Warnock's bollox in 2007 , I couldn't see it ever happening (due to the then gulf in £ , which gulf has grown exponentially).

And along comes 19/20 , to give completely unexpected hope.
But we get slammed down.
Twice.
It's the hope that kills you.

I don't know why I entertain hope for them.
The ownership have been serial clowns my entire life ,
throwing away their biggest chances through sheer incompetence.

And we laugh at the pigs ?
We should look in the mirror.

No

We have no mitigation as we were crap at penalties and the EFL and everyone in football knows we bottle the big games.

'Does the Sheffield United defence have anything to add'

'No your Honour. We rest our case and apologise to the court for wasting your time. We will, of course, be agreeing a costs payment to the court, as is usual in vexatious claims'
You really hate Sheffield Utd dont you.

The fact we went from 9th in the Premier League after beating the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea to not winning another league game until January of the following season still beggars belief.

Deep down we all knew it was never gonna last but to fuck it all up that badly was criminal.

You never have a good word to say about the club ,if you hate us that much why bother ?
You're wrong. Again. 'Hate' is your perception, and a concept that I save for only two things in my life. BDTBL isn't one of them.

I bother, because it's my club, because walking into the old place in November 1971 was a moment in my life that I still recall. We beat Coventry 2-0.
I bother because I recall better days, because I remember the atmosphere that took the roof off when we beat Forest in the PO semi final and sharing it with my wife and son, and remember when we beat Liverpool in the 2nd round League cup in 1978, 1-0, under lights. It was fabulous.
I bother because of Jag's goal against Leeds, those runs under Warnock when we ran to the end of every game and 'you have to f*ckin' die for three points' and they almost did.
I bother because we used to turn up to big games and give it a right go.

I bother because going to BDTBL used to be a brilliant experience, even thought now it's the other end of the spectrum.

I bother, because one day, hopefully, we'll be in a better place again, in a ground with atmosphere and not just going through the motions as it is now.

I bother in the hope, that might now have to spring eternal, that one day, just one bloody day, all that bullish rhetoric might just come good and we actually win a big game or finish a job off.

I bother, knowing that, as things are, that day is far off unless and until we have the right people in place off the field to allow it to happen on the field.

Hope that helps. UTB.

You walked into Bramall Lane when you were -1 ?

You really hate Sheffield Utd dont you.
As Chrissie sang ,
"There's a thin line ,
between love & hate"

And feelings can be transient ...
They change all the time.

What doesn't change is the 58 years of loyalty and the perennial renewal of the ST.
